I recent light of the recent australian EPL signings (Jake Adelson playing for Blacktown city U16's and was signed to Everton) and Peter Skapetis (playing for South melbourne U21's and signed to QPR) I have been wondering how they have been able to gain these trials.

I think that Skapetis trial was organised through his school where he went to Birmingham and then was signed to QPR but I have no idea how these other boys got theres. Another example are Chris Harold who trialed and trained with Manchester United back in 2009.

If someone could tell me I would be awesome.

Its a lot to do with contacts. A very good friend of mine, a good player at that, through his grandad who was an old friend of the Academy coach at Sunderland organized him to go over there and have a run with the U18's... Sunderland were very impressed and tried to sign him, unfortunately FFA declined his transfer of registration because his family could not prove that they were moving to England for purposes other than for him to play football, which is unfortunate.

thats all the knowledge i have on it... but im assuming its obviously through people that know people that know people.

I know an Australian agent who works with an agent in Belgium and one in England. They've placed players all over the world, including top Aussie players.

They place more in England than anywhere else and have contacts at all A League clubs. Another option may be state leagues.

PM me for more details.

Professional Trials for the 16-21 yr olds, without the ridiculous costs. Playing in professional stadiums increases your chances of passing a trial by 0%, it is done to entice you to part with your money.
We offer you something different, we will coach you for 2 weeks, twice a day and work on you playing the game, no drills or saq work, just playing football with our unique coaching program. This way we actually have a chance to work on your game and improve your game immensely, before trial day.
Accomodation can be arranged and that would be added on to the cost of our coaching.

14 days coaching, twice a day including trial matches costs £200
Accomodation and food costs are extra if required.

Contacts is the big thing, same way Jackson Irvine got his shot at Celtic, alot of players don't make the rep squads for there respective states but are still able to get trials with contacts, or by playing for academies who go overseas, but often they charge ridiculous amounts for fees
