Mods can blame themselves for this No, people who blatantly make threads based on something they thought of can be blamed for this. The rumour mill is worthy when people put things in it that have a little bit of truth in the detail but just starting threads for no reason means eventually it will get to the point when no one will bother with anything put here. Eventually KA will just remove the forum. You have no reason to get cut at your thread being locked, contrary to your belief that "Apparently the rumour mill is now for pure speculation and doesn't have to be based on anything at all" it must be based on something.
