FFS so now we have to deal with goddamn macedonians trying to poach our players aswell as the greeks and croats, what bullshit, If a player goes through AIS he should be tied to australia until he turns 23. What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Pece Cventanovski to German Side [RUMOUR]? Have your say.

We just need to hold on to the good ones. Seems to me he gave up and is taking the easy option of international football. There won't be any world cups or even Euro's for this lad

BS. The people in charge will cap him when they see fit. Until FIFA changes the rules, we have to follow them, the same as everyone else. Wish everyone would stop living in a fantasy world re: international caps and start living in reality.

Maybe in his heart Macedonia is home, but he should pay back the $60K of tax-payers money that went into developing him into the footballer he is today. Furthermore his club in Canberra should get further compensation for putting in the time, effort and resources during his earliest years of development.
If players want to defraud the system, they should be held accountable like any other fraud in this country. Send the message out loud and clear and these defectors won't use the AIS for their personal gain anymore.

I'm sorry, but i find it hard to believe he would want to play for Macedonia. They are absolute pish, why on earth would he want to play for a country that are virtually no chance of playing in any major tournaments?

Peter Cvetanovski is not from canberra, he is from Sydeny, and started his career at Yagoona Lions FC, then moved onto Bankstown City Lions then Nswis then AIS, and has played for Australia U/16, U/17, U/19 etc

Players going to AIS should have to sign a waiver either tying them to Australian teams or ensuring they repay the cost of their training if they decide to play for another country.

Isnt Macedonia one of the countries that gets bombed every year from croats, serbs etc. Pece why would you want to play for them, have you checked that our country is far better than them.

Macedonia do have one good player: Goran Pandev.
Secondly, I think that what should happen with the AIS is that they should have a similar system to HECS, where if they make enough money out of sport they should pay it back interest free. If they don't make a living from sport the don't have to worry about it.
Thirdly, I don't think this guy ever played for the Jets as Imam suggests.
