Yep, I think Fishy's gotta go. A shame, he has the right character to be a Melbourne great, he just hasn't shown the skill to match it.

On character alone, would love to see him have a massive turn around on the park. Thought he started the season well, but really fell off fast. Doesn't look to be getting any better...but you never know. Maybe Ange getting some confidence into the boys could lead to some improvement.

As for Daniel Georgievski, don't know anything about him. If Ange is trying to bring him to the club, surely would be better then what we have at RB. Quick Google search and I found out he has played 6 matches for the Macedonian national team.

Also, contract finishes up on June 30.

Id like to see him given a last chance, but this time playing in his preferred position. In his 2 years of playing hes played RB, CB and CDM. Id like to see him in CDM again.

DM? Don't think I've ever seen him play DM for the seniors...

Now, back to Georgievski, since his contract is finishing up in a month, makes sense why a HAL team might come in to try and get him. Gotta try and grab guys who won't attract a transfer fee. This might be the reason why Ange wanted to head out of Australia for players now, as there he have targets that will have contracts finishing up within the next month or so.

Will be interesting to see who Ange brings back on his return. Would think that he'd have an eye on some OS Aussies, along with visa players.

Pretty sure its where he played his first couple of games under merrick iirc.

I honestly think that Foschini can come good with some work, time and efoort put into him but it will be a hard slog to get it out of him. He's only young so its still possible.

Yea, give him a season under ange and see what he can do with him. You have to remember that hes been playing RB, our RB and LB last season (Fabio) never got any help and had to take on 2-3 players by themselves due to the systems we played.

I agree with heat_fan10, he definitely sounds like the type of player we should be looking for as a league,young, international experience even and doesn't require a visa spot as he is a citzen and getting good game time at his club and also no transfer fee. Would like to see him at west sydney, that teams needs to get players from that area.

Only 24, current international, his contract to his Croatian club finishes in the offseason, which club was relegated to 2.HNL this year, and best of all he can apparently play CB and DM in addition to RB, so he'd be an ideal fit for us.

Fishy is still young and will be a perfectly capable squad player as he continues to develop.

Really? Only guy who I can think of playing as a DM first and then used at RB is Diogo, this being under Merrick. Don't remember seeing Fish in midfield.


Don't know if they should be playing in the HAL, but certainly should be targets for HAL clubs. Especially since he is coming off contract, no transfer fee is exactly what a HAL club would want.

Explains why Ange wanted to head overseas as close to the end of Euro seasons as possible, would be plenty of players that could be attracted to the HAL without having to buy them...not like any HAL club could really afford to buy many, if any, players from OS.
