Apparently in January the state of Texas passed a law allowing open hand gun carry.

With a protest like this, this was never going to end well.

Will be interesting to see the background of the shooters. That move around the pillar looked pretty professional, I wouldn't be surprised if they are veterans.

So the black guy arrested after the photo was released by the DPD of him wearing military style camouflage fatigues was actually carrying an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle at the time, as "was his right do do so" under Texan law.

He was released, and wasn't one of the shooters, but way to make yourself a target. Not the smartest bloke.

i was wondering that myself, not a thing most normal people could do for sure. Of course being pumped with adren might change that

Open carry is legal in many states. Texas passed law in January allowing unconcealed carry of hand guns. So basically you can now walk around as openly armed as you'd like in Texas.

You can even open carry if you don't have a license in some states under certain conditions.

I don't think so, the snipers were obviously not "protesting" anything. They were using the fact that police were out in the open in mass numbers as an opportunity to murder.
