This is just ridiculous.

Without resorting to drastic and 'racist' measures, how can they stop this kind of thing? This is of course assuming that like every other well publicised attack in the last decade, the man responsible was a muslim.

I think ISIS are getting more desperate because their losing in Iraq and Syria. Monday's Four Corners was an interesting insight.

Appalling tragedy. It's scary how easy it is to kill that many people. :(

Pish. Fucking pish.

ISIS is a mind set. It doesnt need syria any longer.
Of course it's a mindset but you don't think that perceived defeats to their ideology and the construction of their paradise state has no impact on their behaviour? I'm not saying they should be left alone in Syria either. Multi-faceted problem that requires a multi-faceted solution.

It's a mind-set/behaviour that needs annihilation!
Agree 1000%

Start asking questions fishy. Look beyond the soon leftist bullshit that is fed to your generation and start question why people refuse to admit there is a major problem with Islam that needs serious address.

Of course I know there's a problem with Islam, when it's the only religion where just about anyone can bend and twist their interpretation of it so far that they can say with a straight face that "Pókemon Go is haram". I just don't tar everyone with the same brush.

And just like that. You stop asking the tough questions because you are afraid the answers may offend.

I don't blame our fishy friend for that. He's generation is spoon-fed leftist PC garbage 24/7.

But its okay he can now transition into a pancaske sexual fish now. The important thing is we are evolving.

So what "tough questions" should I be asking?

"why does this keep happening?"
"why is it Islam?"
"what can done?"
"why in 2016 is a religion still killing in the name of a prophet"

These questions are asked all the time and no one can come up with a clear answer (apart from fuck Muslims, MAGA, etc.) as it's a complicated problem.

Only thing you can do is not let ISIS' use of terror control you and your life while the U.S turns their compounds into glass.

Eugh.... tell that to the people on Nice not letting terror control their life.....

The problem is trying to sort the baddies from the goodies. However, how can you sort them without offending people just getting on with their lives? Why should non-muslims go out of their way to stop young muslim men from getting fed up with life and doing shit like this?

Poor choice of wording. Of course these sorts of tragedies will affect the lives of the innocent people of Nice, but it shouldn't make you afraid of going to a public event out of fear of being shot or run over.

Indeed.

The token PC responses annoy me though. When it reaches a tipping point I will wait in anticipation for the racism card to be thrown around loosely.

France needs to admit that their former policies are wrong. I don't know how they can change it.

Hey guys if I change my Facebook profile picture to the French flag, does that mean ISIS will go away?

Everyone talks about how immigrants need to assimilate (which I agree with 100%), but AFAIK they haven't come up with any criteria for assimilation.

Well if you wanted to go down that track, you could also ask

"We are continually told that terrorism and murder is not "real" Islam, so why does it keep happening?"
"Why can't the 'real' Muslims just explain to the 'misguided' Muslims what Islam is actually about so they stop killing people?"
"We keep hearing from the media, leftists and Muslim apologists like the Greens Party that this isn't 'real' Islam. How come they know so much about what 'real' Islam is, but Muslims brought up in Islamic countries who quote the koran when carrying out these attacks don't?"
"Why are the 'real' Muslims in western countries so silent against this?"

But there is one question that you must absolutely never, ever, ever ask, which is completely off limits
"What is the tipping point at which the actions of a murderous minority outweigh the multicultural ideal that allows people from all societies to migrate to western countries?"
You can't ask that one, it's clearly going too far.

Our immigration policy should be heavily biased towards migrants from countries with similar ideals and way of life as our own.

For example, all EU countries, UK, Canada, USA etc etc.

Simple. If they are American, EU, UK, or Canadian Citizens, then assess their applications fairly and interview them. If they have proven to integrate well in that society, then they should be able to integrate well in Australia. If they meet all the other criteria, have solid chances of employment etc, then let them in.

Of course it is. The next terrorist event in Australia will also be done by Australian Citizens.

The question here is radical Islam, and there is no chance of addressing it if we are unwilling to talk about it.

The only way to stop it is to bias our immigration policy towards countries with similar ideals and values as our own.

You can't!

Just bias immigration policy towards countries with similar values and ideals as our own.

If Muslim countries can't counter radical Islam, then Australia has no chance.

There is a solution.

Bias immigration towards countries with similar ideals and values, and restrict immigration from those who find integration into our society difficult.

The thing is, this is what we should be doing. Nothing better than having migrants with similar ideals and values as our own. It's actually quite sensible.

Muslims can always migrant towards countries with similar ideals and values as them.

Ok how about a simple question. Who gets to stay and who goes?

Our immigration policy should be heavily biased towards migrants from countries with similar ideals and way of life as our own.

For example, all EU countries, UK, Canada, USA etc etc.
What do you do to those that are already in those countries?

Simple. If they are American, EU, UK, or Canadian Citizens, then assess their applications fairly and interview them. If they have proven to integrate well in that society, then they should be able to integrate well in Australia. If they meet all the other criteria, have solid chances of employment etc, then let them in.
Pretty much all the perpetrators of the terrorist attacks in France have been EU citizens.

Hmm this question doesn't seem so simple now :-k

Of course it is. The next terrorist event in Australia will also be done by Australian Citizens.

The question here is radical Islam, and there is no chance of addressing it if we are unwilling to talk about it.
Then talk about radical islam. How do you stop it?

You can't!

Just bias immigration policy towards countries with similar values and ideals as our own.

If Muslim countries can't counter radical Islam, then Australia has no chance.

One day you will find out but it will be too late.
So no solution then, we're already all dead.

There is a solution.

Bias immigration towards countries with similar ideals and values, and restrict immigration from those who find integration into our society difficult.
Doesn't address those that are already here though? :-k

It's stops the problem from getting worse. Eventually, the problem should die out.

But good luck with addressing radical Islam for those already here.

Maybe get our PM Turnbull to hold more Iftar Dinners!

Terrorist sympathisers like Anne Aly argue this wont work because it will further radicalise those already here. She reckons we should write nice letters to extremists instead and give them lenient sentences.

Even if that is the case, you have still successfully contained the problem to those already here.

If there is an issue, then the Australian Government will have to somehow address it.

What is certain is the fact that if Islamic Immigration continues at present levels, then terrorism is a 100% certainty in this country.

We might see him on the next Q&A shedding some crocodile tears about the religion of peace and coexistence!

Us white middle aged males shouldn't talk because of the Christian practice of burning witches 700 years ago!

Australia, UK, EU, USA should all force restrictions on Muslims like what they do in Japan.
