...and the knt masquerading as our foreign minister says Australia would have supported Israel if they had been on the security council.

Never have i felt so much shame to be an Australian. This is truly shameful. Kudos to NZ once again for having the balls to stand up to bullies and fight for what is right.

Is what happens when you have an Ausmerican government, will be interesting to see what happens once Trump takes over and starts messing with already established political process/alignments/agreements etc, how much sucking up will Turnbull and co do. Trump wants to back Israel too, he also has a bee in his bonnet about "Chhina" We on the other hand have strong trade ties with China but also a very close ally to the US.

Very true. Once upon a time the aus government used to stand up to things like this (ie Fraser / Hawke / Keating era) and generally do what is fair and right for Australia.

Turnbull and Shorten will be Trump's lapdogs. Trump will push for the one state solution in Israel, recognize the Russian annexation of Crimea (the US has vested interests in Crimea as there is a 500 billion dollar oil deal that was scuttled during the annexation by Obama, hence why Trump put the Exon guy as secretary of state, so they can cut a deal with the Russians and all profit).

Trump isn't the biggest problem, his cabinet picks are, they are truly terrifying people. I never thought I'd see the day where a 3rd world war could be a possibility

Yep and He wants to invade iraq put troops on the ground, destroy isis and take the oil. He wants to confront iran and not honor obama and kerrys controversial $1.7BN ransom agreement for the US hostages. Things are gonna get fubar.

But cmon man, its not about standing up to the bullies. we dont hold any real power, and nz on a global scale are completely insignicant and totally irrelevant. if push came to shove lets see nz stand up to the US bullies . we only exist because we have a union jack as our flag and bc we are the lapdogs of the US. Lets see how lomg we'd last without USAs protection, and had to face "other bullies" on our own.

As far as israel and palestine. Israel is an ally to the usa. Dunno what you were expecting....usa gives them billions in foreign military aid. Israel are their strategic mid east ally....there will be obligatory rhertoric, but thats about it.

Do you have a source for this information? (The American oil deal being scuttled)

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Hahahaha and today in mad kunts news

Indonesia's head of military, General Gatot Nurmantyo, was speaking to a group of university students when he raised concerns that a food shortage in China could lead to millions of Chinese refugees coming down the Malay Peninsula to take over South East Asia.

Hardline groups like the Islamic Defenders Front have been stoking fears within the country of Chinese workers taking Indonesian jobs.
General Gatot said the Malaysian Defence Minister told him that he was frightened of the prospect because he would not be able to stop them.

"I told him that I am not scared," General Gatot said.

"If they ever come to my place, they will come by sea. Once they cross the ocean, I will butcher 10 cows in the middle of the ocean. The sharks will definitely gather.

"After that I will shoot at them, just by using small weapons so the boat will leak, and they all can be eaten by the sharks."

US election hacking: Putin 'sought to help' Trump

Russian President Vladimir Putin sought to help Donald Trump win the presidential election, a US intelligence report says.
The declassified report says the Russian leader "ordered" a campaign aimed at influencing the election.
The report was released shortly after intelligence chiefs briefed Mr Trump on their findings.
Mr Trump stopped short of accusing Russia of interfering, saying only that the election outcome was not affected.
The report says that the Kremlin developed a "clear preference" for Mr Trump.

"We also assess Putin and the Russian government aspired to help President-elect Trump's election chances when possible by discrediting Secretary [Hillary] Clinton and publicly contrasting her unfavourably to him," it said.

Since winning the election, Mr Trump has repeatedly questioned US intelligence on the claims of Russian hacking.
US officials previously said the Kremlin was behind the hacking of Democratic Party emails aimed at damaging Mr Trump's rival, Hillary Clinton.
Russian agents are alleged to have sent stolen Democratic emails to WikiLeaks to try to swing the vote for Mr Trump.
Russia has denied any involvement in the hacking and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange says Moscow was not the source for the site's mass leak of emails from the Democratic Party.
Shortly before his meeting with intelligence chiefs, Mr Trump dismissed the Russian hacking claims as a "political witch-hunt" by his opponents.
He told the New York Times that US institutions had been the target of previous hacking attacks, but they had not received the same media attention as the alleged intrusions during the election campaign.
The briefing at Trump Tower involved National Intelligence Director Gen James Clapper, CIA Director John Brennan and FBI Director James Comey.
Mr Trump described it as "constructive".
In a statement he declined to single out Russia and said he had "tremendous respect for the work and service done" by those in the US intelligence community.
"While Russia, China, other countries, outside groups and people are consistently trying to break through the cyber infrastructure of our governmental institutions, businesses and organisations including the Democrat National Committee, there was absolutely no effect on the outcome of the election."

No brainer.
Putin is looking to dictatorships, such as Assad, to give his position more legitimacy.
Also Trump's denial of global warming & support of the oil industry, will mean less opposition to Russia decimating the Arctic.

You'd almost think incidents like this are why the US has laws about government officials using secure email servers 😉

It'd be different if Russia actually manipulated vote counts or encouraged a coup - y'know, kinda like the USA has in dozens of foreign democratic elections, but the only thing that Russia (allegedly) did is publicize the true character of the people in the Clinton team.
