i need to invest in my dfense more heavily. the ratings are poor which are pretty bad. most of my dfenders are 30+ and they lose form easily but have good experience and that helped me this season i think.

Aww, there goes my stadium upgrade... If I was to use all my of 1 million, would I be better off spending it on 1-2 players or more like 5??? Would it be more beneficial buying 2 mids at 500k a pop (what level would that earn me, if I was buying say a 25 y.o???).

um...not much. haha. a formid with passable passing is around 1mil minimum.
Excellent/Formid/Excellent for inner mids will be good for you. Its better to get two players that will last you a long time than getting 5 which you will have to replace at seasons end anyway.

Spend the 1mil on a formid, then save up and get two more excellents. Or you could do it the other way around. An excellent with good passing you could get for around 500k. So its up to you. Probably getting two excellents is better.
Btw in regards to your defending training question: if you play 5-5-0 then you wil maximise training for defending. Only do that in friendlies though haha.
Remember, only 3 inner mids and 3 CBs otherwise you will lose training for the week.

Of course after all that, you COULD upgrade your stadium first but its a bit of a gamble cause you might not be selling out. How big is it now, and how big do you want it to be. If you make it 20k you wil get around 350k for a fullhouse. 25k gives just under 500k

I was planning an upgrade of up to 25K. It won't sell out when I do that, I just thought it would be easier to give myself some room to fill it so its not neccessary to upgrade twice a season... Its currently at default, 12 000. No VIP, and not to the recommend % for each part. I have 866 members.

No worries. Just try not to buy a player who is going to have to be replaced soon eg an excellent with poor passing and no other secondaries. Getting it to 25k is a smart idea, maybe get one excellent and then do a small upgrade. Its only an extra 20k to upgrade twice a season.

When your buying players use the hattrick sublevel tool (google it) to check the sublevel of the players, try to get an excellent with fairly good sublevel (that is, closer to popping to formidable). Its not imperative but it helps.

If you get an excellent, definetely get good secondaries. With a formid, for cash issues maybe not

You will get around 2mil for him easily.
Put him on the market about 5am our time, lots of managers online then.
Just check the transfer compare and list him around the middle price

ok buy. wouldnt say its one of the best formid playmakers. weak or inadequate passing would have been better. and disastrous experience wasnt a good option there. but if you didnt have the money than buying this guy to boost your midfield ratings is decent enough. and also conrats on making it to Divsion V!

Not bad, Not bad at all. All my IMs had shit passing too. No big deal. Possibly you should train passing in the offseason, play the friendlys in a 4-5-1 or a 3-5-2 formation. Decent buy man, good age too.
