It's a tiny tab in the corner of your screen... Deal with it.

Please fix it. I got prompted to take this survey again and question 9 is still stuffed. There are 5 options to choose from and I do not do ANY of them so I cannot answer the question. It is totally stupid to have a question that I cannot give an answer to and continue with the survey. If you want to have a survey get it written properly not this stupid way.

Since my cries for help have been ignored, any idea when this survey window thing will finish up?
EDIT: Nevermind, I've managed to get around it using some Firefox scripts. Please continue.

Speaking of that survey thing, the little Flash window is actually transparent on my Firefox, but it's causing the bottom right of the window to be unresponsive. Please remove it. Thanks.

The dodgy thing was I saw another site doing the exact same survey (I assume they are both Haymarket), but memebers on that site got entered in a draw to win an iPad! We got nothing :X

Don't see why people are having a cry over it - I do, however, think that adding the music bit towards the end will impact response rates. Hopefully you guys can track 'incomplete' responses, to get a good read of the demographics. Happy to provide demographics, but to be honest I don't really care about music downloads so I closed it in frustration.

it's a fact of life mate....for this web site to remain free for everyone to use we have to generate ad revenue to pay for it.
anyone with even half an eye on global and local events could deduce that ad budgets in Australia are not going up
therefore our best chance of securing ad revenue is to be able to paint a better, clearer picture as to who actually uses this site
so if you don't have any fundamental objections it would help us if you completed the survey but if you do and don't want to fill out the survey then that's fine too - just ignore it

Hi All,
The survey is not in association with anyone so no idea how you got the idea it was with a music download company. It's not.
It's part of a new internet measurement service called Effective Measure which we are trialling with all Haymarket titles. Google Effective Measure if you want to know more.
By understanding the demographics of the site it does help shape what we do....as do the questions about A-League support and age etc.
It's an optional survey and you can stop at any point...if anyone's not happy I'll be glad to refund your annual subscription to the web site.....

There's nothing misleading about the survey. It was called a "FourFourTwo survey" - they hosted the survey. Nowhere did it state that it was looking for feedback on the site itself.

cbowden9000 wrote:It's just misleading, that's all. That was my thought. The survey indicated that it would be about the website and hopefully might have some questions about improving it in terms of stability, functionality and design. It ended up being just about demographics and how to be better advertised at. Let's not let that get in the way of another unprovoked, disproportionate and hyperbolic ad hominem attack from Afro, though.
