+xHrustic came on for the second half Mooy and Holland starting Juric on the bench UK Mirror rumour mill, read at your own peril... Crystal Palace and Huddersfield are keen on Groningen winger Ajdin Hrustic. The Aussie, 22, has impressed in the Eredivisie after making his professional debut last year. He played youth football with South Melbourne in his homeland and German side Schalke before moving to Groningen in 2015. Since then he has earned his first cap for Australia, after rejecting the advances of Bosnia & Herzegovina, and his form has now caught the eye of the Premier League sides with both sizing up moves for him in January. Yeah.. I wasn't that impressed by him. Aussies don't get that English footbal is a lot more demanding

Ha wow imagine that with Hrustic. Sorloth came Fr Groningen to Palace I believe and there have been hundreds of players brought over to England in the last 5 years who simply are the grade. If it's true with Hrustic, good luck to him. It's only been very frustrating seeing how many hacks get bought while someone like Luongo gets bogged down at anti football QPR.

Pritchard should have put that ball back to Mooy who was behind.

Is there a worse display of sportsmanship than what Raul just displayed there? Using an injured player to effectively beat an off side by 5 metres?

This is the game that saved Mooy's EPL career.
Great camera angle on that free kick. Hos the hell did he squeeze the ball through there.

Goal for Jimbo Holland.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Mooy on the double! Beautiful curling free kick low to the right of the wall and the keeper can't get to it. 2:0. 2 goals for Mooy. What a day!

Hannover scored on 20 seconds but Gladbach up 2:1. This Mooy performance softens the pain of this terrible Hannover defence. I'd kill for an in form Sainsbury or Rogic.

so many times I think Mounie will shoot and he skies it or doesn't take an easy shot (easy for this level)
Juric, Maclaren are both better amazingly and neither are epl level

Holland's goal was decent. Edge of the box.

Benched Mooy in fantasy but he'll be automatically subbed in come the end. Few of my midfielders were benched.

+xThis is the game that saved Mooy's EPL career.
With the quality he showed today I think it is worth questioning whether Wagner has been using him effectively this season. Great to see him get forward into threateningly positions up front in this game. Mounie on the other hand had a good game for his standards but was still useless.

Seeing Mooy higher up for Huddersfield and Australia seems to be working well. His presence draws defenders and creates space elsewhere as a bare minimum.

Regarding Hrustic transfer rumour. Palace seem to have someone in Holland while Wagner must have contacts from people in the region of Dortmund, Schalke etc.
Still I feel Rogic to Arsenal has more credibility. It'll be very interesting if it happens.

+xKennedy was a natural when Guus plucked him from the German 3rd tier. Who knows who we'll stumble across? I'd like to see Folami make the first ream and we can go from there. Guus also picked Wilshire from league one, in a side littered with top league talent. I think a lot has to do with being un-biased to the standard, assess the player in his merit.

BVM did it well with Nabbout, Meredith and Petratos I found but baffled me with his shinning of Luongo. Anyway it's been discussed enough.

I personally enjoyed rogic and mooy as twin 10s, thought they worked well together in contrast to what many said
an attacking triangle puts a lot of pressure on both the defence and distribution of the lone 6 though

For me the biggest issue i have with Mooy as No.10 is he's so reactive to defences, often when they don't do anything to pressure him its easy days but when he's forced to react against the pressure or to come up with solutions he struggles usually through his mobility and often takes too long on the ball.
That's why Rogic and Mooy don't fit together close up.
His biggest strength is his passing and vision, which is why he's better served as a deep-lying No.8 or No.6.
He might be more suited to Huddlesfield as a No.10 or No.8 but for the national team, he's ineffective further up.
Hopefully, he can find a better club that would suit his strengths.

The hrustic to England rumours are so far fetched it’s unbelievable. He doesn’t even make an impact in Holland. That being said, I will happily eat my hat if he goes and it works
