+xSuch an interesting role for Mooy here. Roaming on the wing but also hanging quite free around the 10 in other moments. Seeing him advanced allows him to run around a bit more. Keeping the ball moving well.

Mooy gets back well to dispossess a winding up Joeliton and then gets forward to send Groß on with a solid pass.

+x+xhow long since we've seen two Aussies in the same side in the EPL? Kewell Viduka seems to be too easy an answer. Others? Cahill and Neill at Everton possibly?

Lovely first time through ball by Mooy on the half volley but the ensuing cross is blocked. Mooy mishit a shot from the edge of the box a minute earlier.

Damn! Mooy’s class was above most of Brighton players. He did well in the first half.

Game ends 0:0. Brighton would have won with Trossard. Brighton will be frustrated not to have won this but both teams had chances.

Dukes and Schwarzer at Boro I think the last time was Smith and Federici for Bournemouth, a 3-1 loss away to Arsenal in November 2016.

+xSuch an interesting role for Mooy here. Roaming on the wing but also hanging quite free around the 10 in other moments. Seeing him advanced allows him to run around a bit more. Pretty sure he prefers to push up a bit, Melb City they played a lot of counter attacak though. Interesting role with 78% possession indeed. Watching the 26 minute mini-match on Optus Sport. How nice he started

Maupay greedy , should have passed for an easy tap in. 1-0. What an idiot. I like how Grob is operating on the right, Mooy the left.

Maupay greedy again, not even close to open for a shot, Mooy behind him hands in the air. He shoots straight into defender. ahh Jesus. What kind of fucking team work is this.

Maupay another pathetic attempt. My god, like watching Maclaren or Taggart for a big EPL side.

Prior to that it was Holman and Herd for Villa in the 11/12 season, I think, and Grella and Emerton at Blackburn in 10/11 before that.

+xHrustic having his breakout season. Good on him. Agreed, he looks absolute class. He’s like a Rogic with end product.

Hrustic has been switching between #10 and the wing throughout his career at Groningen.
I wonder where he’ll be best suited for the Roos.

Just watch the highlights of Macabi Haifa lost 0-1. Sainsbury was horrible,, an own goal n got caught n almost conceded the 2nd( just like when he played for the socceroos under ange). If he playing for a bigger club surely will be dropped.

+xMooy off on 70. Good shift. good hit out. subbing him first was a mistake. maupay and alzate needed to come off. wasteful. bit concerning that brighton couldn't put newcastle away with the way they played. it's really good to see mooy played in a more advanced role. he's wasted as a 6.
