+x+xand Ruka scores in added time, taking his league tally to 14. Full match for him and Sains, 3-1 win. 14 in 12 games, very impressive. Well well ahead in the league scoring charts - next best is Ben Sahar who has 9. This season could see 3 aussies top scoring tables (mclaren A league, Taggart K league, Ruka Israeli league) . Just watched highlights of the game - was unlucky not to get a couple more - looks very very sharp!

+xI spoke to Brad Smith at the Melbourne Derby a couple of weeks ago and he told me he was looking to move on from Bournemouth at the end of this season as his contract with them expires in June. Free move back to MLS :)

Any idea what is happening with Brad Smith? After a successful loan spell in the US he has been no where to be seen with Bournemouth.
Whilst I read that they were looking at using him a bit more regularly, I somehow doubt it. Surely a loan move to a Championship club or a permanent move elsewhere would be desired. There is a LB spot up for grabs with the National team ultimately for anyone who plays regularly in the coming 4 months. At the moment that is Callum Elder. Neither Gersbach, Behich or Smith are banging on the door for the Copa America.

Howe is kidding himself. He's playing a number of reserves tonight in the FA Cup and he's done worse than selecting Brad Smith. Is there any news of a transfer? I guess Smith does need a little break post full MLS season.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

+xI do wonder about Cummings. Personally I'd rather invest in Folami, Toure and others for the long term future but he's scoring. Not sure if he can make the jump back to Championship level. hes only 24, same as the other scot aussie at livingstone. Youd rather play these 2 than ruka or giannou who are playing at a similar quality/level but are much older.

+xCummings, 3 goals in 14 matches nothing to write home about also instead of looking at the opening wikipedia pg which is never up to date nor accurate, if you look at his full stats for this season he's scored 7 in 21 across all competitions

+xCummings, 3 goals in 14 matches nothing to write home about yeah but previously showed a lot of promise (scottish championship top scorer, played for rangers, picked in scotland squad) , plus the 3 goals have come in the last 2 games and he's picked up plenty of assists too.

Surely knowing what Taggart and Maclaren are about, Arnold should cap both Cummings and Dykes at the same time.
See what there about see if they fit into the mentality, playing style and around the other lads.
If they dont, then dont pick them again.
