Are you even an Aussie Abroad if you dont injure yourself in your first couple of months in Europe?

Not sure if it's been mentioned here or not, there was a young kid by the name of Ramy Najjarine, absolute wonderkid at junior level and was touted to go overseas. Played in the Wanderers youth team last season now with Melbourne City. I remember Les speaking very highly of him a few years back.

kruse has 3 goals and won 3 pens. He definitely has a few more gears in him. He's back to his leverkusen/dusseldorf form when he is also setting up goals
I wouldn't be surprised if a buli club picked him up in jan

could only watch the first half but after Maty made that save in the 3rd minute... I knew he was going to have a good game... I think adding Krul has just given Maty more hunger.. I think the other 3rd keeper is no where near him and Krul - good move from the Manager.

He's better off continuing what he's doing in the second div..

Maybe Ange can look at how some of the players go in Europe against far better opposition as opposed to when they are with him. He could learn that playing to someone's strengths and in position goes a very long way to getting a successful outcome from them.

Is there something going on between Juric and the Luzern fans?
Lots of the time when he scores he does the "I can't hear you" gesture to the active end.

slick finish. helps to have 3 hours to think about it. but still, he nailed it. i think we are probably ready to look at a front 3 again for the NT considering juric, kruse and leckie are all in form and scoring.

After watching Kruse from the beginning of the season till now, he is so much sharper and doesn't look like he'll waste every good opportunity. Funny what playing matches can do to your sharpness.

Yep. I have absolutely no issue with him in the roos starting lineup now.

Now hes playing regularly, playing regularly very well and playing regularly very well at a decent level. And Leckie is also having a wonderful season. Them two and Juric need to start and Kruse and Leckie need to be wide like they are for clubs. I dont want to see Kruse as one of the #10s and Leckie as a wingback.

Kruse - Juric - Leckie Rogic Milligan - MooySolid defensive structure with two holders, and pace down the wings with a target man in the middle. Then Rogic for the occasional blooter. That's how you win in Asia.

Call me crazy but with the lack anything resembling competence at RB with Grant out, Id be considering Milligan there. Who plays next to Mooy though then becomes the question. Youd be wanting someone with some defensive grit in there. Something like Ryan Milligan Sainsbury Wright Behich Luongo Mooy Rogic Lecke-----------Kruse JuricBar Sainsbury and Milligan that teams all playing regularly. Not sure about Luongo though.

I would guess that is why Risdon is in the squad. Ange is surely going to return to what worked so well at the asian cup.

Problem is Rogic can't play the balls through the lines and into the box that Kruse thrives on. Rogic blasts from distance or shimmys to the touch line for a cutback/low cross. He missed Kruse's dangerous runs multiple times against Thailand.
Luongo and Mooy are best at playing balls past the last defender. Given the trouble playing Rogic and Mooy together I think it's better with Luongo at 10 and Rogic off the bench with 30 to go.
We should have 2 of Luongo, Milligan or Irvine in the midfield at all times.

We should have 2 of Luongo, Milligan or Irvine in the midfield at all times. Agree 100% Has to be a front 3 of Kruse, Juric, Leckie. Mooy/Luongo in the middle, Milligan behind them. Rogic to come off the bench as the impact player. No minutes for Sains, even though he is our best defender by far, he can't start. On current form/playing time: Can't quite figure out who would play at right back (definitely wouldn't go with Wright), so I'm guessing it'll be Risdon or McGowan? Ryan McGowan - Degenek - Wright - Gersbach Milligan Mooy - Luongo Leckie - Juric - Kruse Few good options off the bench if Ange would go with the above. Would be starting Rogic for the leg in Sydney.
