Fox sports posted an article on Sarota. What a shame and mess his injuries put him in. He wants to fight back. I swear my birth year of 88 is the most cursed. Williams, Spiranovic, Burns, Troisi, Kruse, Sarota, Langerak, Holland. I could go on. They've either not reached their potential or been massively injured.

Nothing for Maclaren in a 3:0 loss. Frings has lost the plot. They keep going behind and he brings on midfielders.
Borrello came on just after the break. What a performance. He put a tricky ball in which was blocked and then laid up for a goal. The 3rd goal saw Borrello slot it ahead for his teammate to provide a square ball assist. His balance was so good and he was a fresh spark on the flank. 3:0 Kaiserslautern.

Borrello was subbed on early in the 59th minute. K'slautern won 3-0, goals all scored after he came on. Nothing for Maclaren Luongo starting

Buli 2 used to be a great place for aussies to get a fair go.

+xoh well then, watching rosenborg. pretty rubbish. still think this blonde leftback is not as good as gersbach by a mile Never understood why he didn't move on. It's clear that once you are part of the team that decimates the Norwegian league they replace the team and do it again selling the majority of players in the market to bigger clubs.

+x+x+x+x+xNo Davidson or Ikon. Those guys have disappeared. I think ikon will come good in a few years. Davidson might break through somewhere too but I'm not as sure about that as I am ikon. Not sure if he has the mindset, if you look at one of his old teammates - Keita Balde Diao now at Monaco of course after playing 100+ games for the lazio first team. It was them two leading the line at youth level.... they are worlds apart.... if your 22 with less professional games than your age your in trouble. Too busy worrying about instagram followers rather than actually making it... same goes for Armenakas. Some of these guys can turn it around and get their act together. They just need a chance in a decent team and they need to dig deep mentally. Look at Culina, Mooy, Jedinak and many others. They can be going seemingly nowhere and then at 25/26 through to 33 kick on and have an awesome career. An important path that Mooy and Jedinak took was getting a gig in the A-League and proving themselves here for a couple of seasons. Hopefully Ikonomidis does the same and comes back here to get a couple of seasons of senior football under his belt. Perhaps a club here in Australia could take him on a loan for a season or two... I don't think they are mentally on the same page as Keita, what separates an average player to a special one is the dedication, desire and discipline to make it at the at the top. I dont know much about Ikon and Panos's cases but it seems they lack those things, put it this way if you're spending too much time on Instagram and not more time working on you're game when we have a problem. Ikon is 22 now and all of the talk about him being a Socceroo mainstay have been wiped for the time being, and with Panos as I said to someone else on here the fact he can't get off the bench at a Belgian 2nd division says alot, maybe he isnt the good that we made him out to be? I personally still don't see the hype yet. Anyway (it must be a greek thing with the discipline, desire issues like Kyrgios? haha) in all seriousness though they are still young if they are not careful they will never realise there potential.

Borello, for example, was very impressive despite not getting a chance before tonight. It makes it plausible that him not playing is the coaches shortcoming not his. The problem is in lower divisions the competition may be much weaker, but the coaches are weaker too. So there is always a little luck. Thats why you need to produce many armenekas's If you get game time in a league stay at the same club until you are tearing the league apart

Great to see him make an impact this morning.

If Leckie can make it,then Borello should as long as he applies himself. They are both similar players.Borrello probably has the better technique for his age,but not quite the same engine yet or focus yet.

Agreed. Unfortunately the same thing applies for that Xane kid too, several years ago he was being looked at by the biggest clubs from Europe and joined Watford as a highly talented teenager, where he has spent more time on Twitter/Instagram/doing Nike videos than he has playing. I'm pretty sure he's 18 now and he's dropped off the face of the planet. Unlike Ikon and Panos he might not even be a pro footballer in a few years time. That's a real shame, and it appears to be the same issues as mentioned above.

Ben Folami scored again for Ipswich U23s last night. He's scored five goals for the U23 side since joining them this month, having moved up from the U18 side after a couple of months of banging them in for fun there. A fantastic start to his professional career since getting clearance to play for Ipswich in July. No doubt we'll see him cameo in the Championship in the future if he keeps this up. Some more info here: https://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/32374/folami-nets-again-as-u23s-win-at-sheffield-unitedThe people in the comments and on the Ipswich forums say that his strength, hold-up play, and finishing is superb for his age. Lots to be excited about this kid!

1-0 Spurs, poor defending from Huddersfield there, the keeper was in no man's land too. That's a sucker punch for Huddersfield, they were showing good signs early on.

Ipswich Town tweeted this: https://twitter.com/Official_ITFC/status/914081502987735041Another goal for Folami? I'm not sure if this is the same game as before. Either way, his goal is shown in the video above. EDIT: Yep, it's the same match as my earlier post. This was Folami's 5th goal with the U23s this month. Worth noting that he's playing with people 3-4 years older than him.

2-0 Spurs, they're well in control of this. Huddersfield better be careful or they'll get spanked here.

Huddersfield's goalkeeper having a shocker so far. Not much Mooy can do about this game when his team keeps going AWOL.
