If u want to compare complete strikers compare juric and MacLaren to lewandowski. That would be a good measuring stick. Juric can like lewandowski control the ball down and then make a shot . Maccas is very limited to one touch

1-1 away from home against one of the big teams on his first league game is a good start for Ange.

Wright starting against Cardiff Kruse starting against Nurnberg
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

I'm shocked Rogic is starting after news he isn't signing a new contract.

A bit sloppy in parts but effective when he has space to turn. 90 minutes for Kruse I think Juric's suspended

Looked that way against zenit too.
To be fair it could be rust coming back from injury or it could be that his teammates are so dire to play with and all seem to be playing as individuals. Either way it's grim watching celtic atm and I really hope Rogic has a good world cup and goes somewhere decent, preferably germany

Aiden Harvey on the bench for GAIS against Hammarby in the cup. Dont think he will get a run though.

Rogic seemed to play ok, subbed off for McGregor @ 72' I really think that too much has happened and he should cut ties now, but should seal a move too a decent club. A team like Brighton could potentially use him well. A lot of counter action here. Even Hudderfield but they seem to play @ a fast pace. Maybe too fast for him to keep up with. He doesn't seem to be one of those high intensity guys who can sustain a press over long periods. However, the circumstance with his injuries and etc, seem to put him a position where no club would take him seriously. The amount of football he's missed could almost write him off as a football player and put him the Cahill retirement basket really so early in his career (end up being a gimmick player for some Gulf team).

a couple of celtic fans speculated something like this
Rogic could say "I'm your best player or one of your best. I deserve more money" and he'd be right The board could say "you have been injured too often you don't deserve a raise" and they would be right So its hard to see this end with a new contract at celtic

I wouldn't stay, even so, the team is flat out ridiculous atm. I'd start taking finding a transfer serious and get it done. I wouldn't be happy as a player or an injured player So if I was Tom and his agent , I'd be manning up and try convince another team that I am dead set ready to play a full season. Sort it all out asap. This Celtic thing just doesn't work for me

I think he is the first Australian to play in Sweden since Nathan Coe played for ÖIS (and Covic returned from Newcastle).
Edit: whoops Jamieson

His injury record might count him out for most teams. Can't say he'd go to the EPL and with such a tough Championship season might put off potential suitors.

I think the club should take a lot of the blame for his injury record, he came into Celtic unable to play more then 60 minutes effectively and he still hasn't improved his fitness even slightly. He needs to go somewhere where he'll actually improve his fitness. In which the championship will actually help.

how many were on counter Maclaren, kruse and to a lesser degree leckie are all counter attacking specialists. If we played on the counter a front three like that could tear teams apart but maclaren isnt the guy you want if you are pinning an opposition back dominating possession and trying to find an avenue in tight spaces He's had his shot/s. Wasn't effective for Darmstadt either. He can not create his own shot. How many of those shots did he take more than 2 touches. Just keep shifting the goal posts until people couldnt be bothered arguing with you anymore

Assuming BVM calls Rogic up for Socceroos matches, I could then see him recommending Rogic to Eredivisie clubs.

It could, or the rigours of 3 games a week almost every week could make him a liability to whoever signs him. He's shown glimpses of being EPL quality but injuries have always curtailed progress which is sad. I rate him highly, but if I was going to pay 6mil for him, i'd want to see him fully fit for 6 months first.

I think the club should take a lot of the blame for his injury record, . The same club that managed and help his early injuries from potentially career threatening to getting decent game time? The same club that stood by him when he was almost a year out in total at a stage when he hadn't yet proved himself?

He can't create his own goals and is an extremely ineffectual 'striker' against this thing called 'defending'. This is his creative ability. GOAL ] <------------> Jamie Straight in.
