+x+xBochum 1-0 up with an incredible goal, Kruse had a decent start. Hinterseer barely played when Ingolstadt were in the big time. 88 games from 3 seasons? He's a pretty good player, quite similar to Juric. Ye i definitely see the similarities, this Bochum team have got some good players and are finally starting to play well together. A front 3 of Kruse, Hinterseer and Sam is a great trio for a 2nd division team.

What else is up for tonight... have an essay proposal to Wright, considering having an all nighter (if worth it)

Ouzounidis scored against Manchester City U23
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Kruse misses a 1 on 1 chance, controlled it well and the keeper gets a fingertip on it to save it.

Darmstadt likely to go down. Maclaren needs to avoid a forced move to the 3rd league. I think his contract might state 'only valid for 2nd or 1st league. Many get such clauses to seal the deal. Anyway glad he's going better.

Gronigen despite losing, had more shots and shots on goal , 5 corners to 1 w/ only 41% possession. Not bad.

Nice ball from Chapman for an assist at 5:43 Notice how the linesman flags but play continues, goal is scored and VAR takes a look.

Seems he has had steady and good development really.. 23 years old and playing for top k league team Can he replace Jedi? Is he ready?

Chapman has to enter the frame at some point. It'd be really good if Arnold could get some kind of A League and other non club committed players together for a match or two like Saudi Arabia, Romania and the Baltic states tend to do.
Scandinavian countries have put together local clubs for certain things too as their season isn't on compared to their top players.
At a glance it appears the A League is on when the Asian Leagues aren't and vice versa. Would be a tough ask.

Here’s an article on Matt Jurman. Check out the pic of the stadium with the Olympic ski jump on it. http://www.kleagueunited.com/2018/03/matt-jurman-wall-of-suwon.html?m=1As an aside, this English language k-league site has an article on VAR pros & cons. Looks like they have the same problems we do. Korea has been a great place for our CB development - Jurman, Chapman, Wilkinson, Sascha, DeVere and others. I would like to see some of them move from there onto Europe though.

Depends on if he goes to and even plays in Russia but Risdon could be on the brink of a European move. Of course it's got to be one where he plays regularly. If he stays at WSW and does well there then that's fine.

Awer Mabil assisted and scored in Pacos de Ferreira's 2-nil win over Chaves. He was named Man of the Match.

Probably all the bullshit camps away with Socceroos.. where he wasn't even given a chance.. took its toll on him and the coach.

+x+x+xMaclaren should be starting for the Socceroos. The guy works hard on defense too. Juric is excellent off the ball and has performed far better for the NT than Maclaren. No way he should start. Juric is better at holding the ball no doubt but no way he is better than Maclren off the ball, if we are talking about work rate, making runs and getting in good positstions then he Maclaren is better. Juric has been played better? I guess so, he certainly has had a lot more games to do so, in 34 games he has scored 8. Maclaren has had 5 games with no goals, give him another 29 games and lets talk then. I agree he Maclaren should not be starting over Juric, but he deserves to be on the bench at the world cup, can't keep expecting Cahill to save our ass in the future. they play in leagues of similar quality now, so it's a good comparison. maclaren out performed juric in the a-league. but they are very different types of players. juric for luzern 26 games 8 goals 5 assists maclaren for hibs 8 games 3 goals also maclaren was subbed on a darmstad - 7 times with no return. i believe some of them were on the wing?

He might have a strong back end to the season if there is enough games left

He might have a strong back end to the season if there is enough games left he needs to play in the right kind of system. basically needs to be in a team that plays on the front foot - in the middle of an attacking three. he worked really well in brisbane because broich and borello were both physical and creative - they could hold the ball up and cut in and maclaren would shadow around the box. he is not the kind of big lone striker/target man suited to defensive teams that want someone to knock down balls and hope something gets picked up.
