I was actually hoping Ange loses this one so he can focus on the league. By all indications, the jleague cup is a bit of a nothing comp. Doesn't even earn a champions league spot, so I'm not sure why they're taking it so seriously.

They are safe from relegation at this point, why not go all out to win a trophy?

Although I doubt Yokohama will sack Ange, even considering their lofty standards, winning the cup and being in such great form currently, all of it will keep him in good stead next season.

Also found out I'll be in Tokyo on the 3rd of November, going to try and make the trip down to Yokohama for a home game to FC Tokyo!!! Excited!

i hope he leaves.  he would be better off playing for a lowly spl team than celtic.  at least he would get to play against celtic then, which is probably better than being the big fish in a small pond.

Reports of a get out clause have been dismissed by Celtic

Rodgers is quickly becoming my least favourite coach. What he's doing to Arzani is petty and inexcusable. I'd love it if he got the sack. 

Not letting an unproven teenager who has never played 90 minutes waltz right into a starting 11 with players worth ten times his value in line before him is inexcusable? 

I never mentioned the starting 11. Even a place in the senior squad or an occasional bench cameo would be a massive improvement. Instead, he's been shut out completely. It's obvious Rodgers doesn't rate him at all (or he would have given him a proper chance by now), which makes the manager look  pretty fucking stupid and is a real shame.

Or do you really think there are 50 better players than Arzani at Celtic? He didn't even make the 43-man Europa league squad...

No, it was definitely a 43 man squad. Look it up. 

It seems insane to me that some of you are so willing to defend Rodgers while he's openly shafting our brightest prospect in a decade. It's just stupid really. 

That 43 man squad was made up of List A and List B players. Arzani is only eligible for List A which is the top 25 and has to include 8 homegrown players. Celtic don't have enough homegrown players so they could only name a 23 man List A. List B is made up of players who are under 21 and have been at the club for 2 years.

What's just stupid is claiming that Rodgers and Celtic don't consider him in their top 43 players because he wasn't named in this squad, when you have no clue what you're even talking about.

the more im learning about the arzani deal.. I dont think rodgers was ever interested but they clearly have some deal with Man City.

And the hilarious thing is it's clear that none of them have ever watched him. It's clear that he wasn't a Rodgers signing and now Rodgers is being stubborn

If he wants to build his fitness he should be brining him on at end of games as well as playing him on the twos as he's been doing. 

Wait till January? Is Rogers trying to force Arzani to miss the Asian Cup due to lack of game time, then pick him when he has missed Australia's Asian Cup Squad? Is this just a petulant Rogers having a go at his overlords for recruiting a player that was likely to be missing club duties in January, because of Non European National duties. I think its starting to look that way!
