Maty defeats his old club! 

Maty played the full match as Brighton ran out 2-1 winners over a full-strength Valencia at The Amex Stadium in Brighton’s final hit-out before the start of the PL next weekend.

Brighton have had a cracking pre-season, testing out a new fluid 3-4-3 formation that Graham Potter is trying to embed as soon as possible. 

Brighton's opening matches seem a bit lighter so hopefully they can get a good start. 

Yokohama on now.  QPR playing at midnight although there is almost zero chance of Luongo playing as transfer rumours still swirl after being left out of pre season.
