https://mobile.twitter.com/HullCityStats/status/1160371559921606656Irvine goal. Brilliant. I think we need to start him behind the striker more often. He's wasted too deep.

No Folami or Ogle. Wednesday and Luongo postponed due to Bury's issues.
Irvine rested for Tranmere away while Elder hasn't been included in the essential Hull B squad. He's still integrating.
Wright starts as captain at Loftus Road. Edwards starting away to Port Vale. Iredale gets a start for Carlisle at Barnsley.

geez there's some negative people on here. The guy has nearly 50 caps for his country as its best defender and has played at 2 asian cups, a world cup and a confeds cup (where he starred). Played senior minutes for champions league teams inter and PSV (inc started for them just last week). It is not out of the question (infact entirely resonable) for him to to get a gig at a lower end Italian or german top flight team. A Freiburg for instance, where borello is now a starter, Sainsbury would walk into that side. Or an Udinese or a Parma or a Mainz for that matter.
Why are we so hard on ourselves???

Haha you've triggered the next round. Basically there are so many players who've gotten gigs in these leagues for doing far less. 1 good season in Switzerland or Belgium often seems the ticket. With the way Hannover played yesterday I dream of having Zadkovic and Marc Warren in defence. Absolute lunacy how this squad has taken their positions for granted and don't even fight.

+xHolland starting v Basel Degenek starting v Copenhagen The third qualifying round is split into two separate sections: Champions Path (for league champions) and League Path (for league non-champions). The losers from the Champions Path enter the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League play-off round, while the losers from the League Path enter the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League group stage. Behich on bench. This means Behich and Holland will be in the EL group stage if they lose. If they advance they'll get a shot at the CL playoff round but will have the EL group stage if they fail there. So basically EL as a minimum for Behich and Holland. Awesome.

Linz aren't playing in their regular stadium. Seems like a disadvantage if anything.

+x+x+x+x+x+xit would be great if he comes back to the a league for a year sainsbury But he soooooo doesn’t need to though. He’s best served finding another European club, if he comes back here he’ll likely end up chasing oil dollars this time next year. this is where i get confused do clubs go shopping for sainsbury or does his agent now need to find a club because if it's the latter then could our problem be we don't have the right connections to get players to the best clubs? Hope Sainsbury can get a Bundesliga gig. Wherever he goes he needs game time. Not sure Ange needs a centre back atm. Anyone know? signed by a german club based on what? delusional. So much negativity. Just breathe brother. Do you forget he captained a Swiss premier league side before the World Cup playing as a CDM? Do you remember he was signed by zwolle as a kid and played for them regularly when he wasn’t injured? Mate people talk utter shite on here i'm quite convinced. We must be the only nation on earth that is biased AGAINST our own players. Besides a sterling international career (tell me how many Cb's in bundi 2 have nearly 50 caps, some as captain, for a nation in the top 50 and played in a world cup and champions league before?!). Ppl talk utter bollocks and i dont know why. Are they purposely snobbish just to reinforce their own football knowledge and opinion? Is it because they want to believe themselves to be 'realists'? Do they enjoy being purposely negative just to win the argument? I give up

I give up Kyriakos Papadopopoulos has 29 caps, played in the Euros for Greece, arguably a bigger footballing nation, has played 20+ champions league games, and was on the champions league bench as a 15 year old. Think he’s probably got as good if not far better pedigree than Sainsbury.

Hamburg is a curse.
