Jordan Lyden has been playing very well for swindon, I reckon he could be a consideration.

+xJordan Lyden has been playing very well for swindon, I reckon he could be a consideration. Yeah I just watched a few of Swindon's highlights, looks as though he slimmed up a bit, and gotten himself fitter. Hopefully this means he can play 30+ games this season and start to finally build his career.

With Ginczek injured, Man City loanee Lukas Nmecha due to return to his parent club mid season, and the coach not having any plans to make new signings leaving only one player listed as a striker in Wout Weghorst, I wonder what John Iredale's chances are of being involved in the first team, given his form?

It's an interesting one. They just sent some 8m valued signing away on loan or to the reserves due lack of discipline. If Iredale keeps his head down and they struggle to field attacking options he'll surely join first team training sessions on occasion and may just make the bench. It's a long shot now but if he can get some training time it's a good thing.

Holland played 90 against Brugge, 1-0 loss at home. I think it's over for them. Degenek should be starting against Young Boys.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Degenek sure to start in the first leg of the final qualifier against Young Boys Bern at 05:00am AEST.
Fire up! I'd be so excited if he repeats his heroics from last year, he'd be a Red Star legend forever.
At least even with a loss they get Europa League group stage action.

They'll just get a few caps, then the next time you'll see them in the Roos shirt is after a short stint in Saudi leagues.

I wonder how these players would stack up with the national team. We know the collective ability of lower league sides. Would Lyden or Iredale be lifted around the playing group and play an absolute blinder? There's plenty of talent to be unlocked in a footballer. We often see lower tier players at the WC for other nations who don't fare all that badly.
We'll only know if we select them and they get on the pitch. The current 11 still has somewhat of an immunity. Every cycle someone comes from absolutely nowhere. Last time it was certainly Degenek and Nabbout.

1:0 Bern. Other CB got rounded by swift striker. Degenek couldn't really get across.

Goal Degenek! Get in! 1:1. So unlikely though. Heads high and long from a corner and it floats in after the defender totally mistimes his jump. What an error by the defender but Degenek headed that for it to land in a tricky position. The defender may have smashed his head on the underside of the bar.

Young Boys miss a sitter. Degenek seriously allows gaps around him. He's got to tighten that stuff up and command.

Southend have lost their opening 4 straight games this season, and sit on zero points.

Red Star ends with a 2-2 draw away in Bern. So glad to see Degenek score, he must be the toast of Belgrade once again. Only 90 minutes from the UEFA Champions League, that's a bit better than languishing in Saudi!

Only 90 minutes from the UEFA Champions League, that's a bit better than languishing in Saudi! He's always had the nack for being solid / reliable at the back. What position was he this morning CB? I'd argue Sains could do the same, just his head doesn't seem right lately. Marriage kids on the cards? pitty Actually he's probably got the trifecta of pressure. NT coach is his father in-law , marriage , children on the way. Screw that
