+xI know it was only a cup game and he probably isn’t knocking down the door for regular first game minutes but I was surprised at the lack of any mention of Francois’ debut for Fulham last night on any Australian football news site etc. He is only 19 and seems like a genuine talent and I hope he goes on loan soon (or gets called up to olyroos squad). Maybe he needs better publicists to get Aussie football press notices - should be chatting to the GISS guy or Alex Robertson’s publicist. Hopefully he can get a loan to a championship club asap and get some gametime

+x+xFolami debuts for Fulham, coming on in the 80th minute against Southampton. You mean Tyrese Francois. Folami plays for Ipswich. My bad.

Great to see Francois on the pitch. Too often are they just in the training squad to not get minutes. Some positive developments in the younger age group.

+xGreat news for Degenek and juric this morning. Good to see Mooy playing. Some guys getting regular game time now which is good for the NT games coming up. full b-team but great to get a run out. it's a rough transfer for mooyle being bought in the week of the first game. deosn't really give him a great start. brighton have done some very good business over the transfer window. trossard looks the goods. a player that will be genuinely able to win the match for a team. maupay as well, very good. and mooy needs no plaudits on here. potter really has the team humming along. some great football. from the form of their first three games i think they have an honest shot at top half of the table and maybe 6 or 7 if breaks go their way. i just hope the loss/red card and draw don't dampen their spirits too much. can't wait until they play some of the big boys.

Arsenal really wanted Troussard so he’s a great pickup for Brighton and looks like it will pay off for him too because they guaranteed him game time. He spent plenty of time in Belgian Div2, so is another great example of how regular game time benefits young players.

Iredale starting. They're up 2:1. Maybe he has an assist. No live stats.

Holland starting in CL qualifying. Massive for him but I totally forgot. I wrote him off as a national team player long ago. Maybe he'll be a late bloomer and hit some top form. I just found him so wasteful with the ball and always too far to shut down danger in defence.

Sadly not according to the articles I read but he was back in the starting lineup and played a full game and they beat the league leaders away from home in front of 6000 spectators (not bad for a 4th division match).

Yeah it was Iredale, 74th minute. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWiHqe_IFY8
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

7 scorer points in 7 games, I know it's only 4th tier but at age 20 that's pretty exciting.

This poaching and poise is what we need against Asian opposition. I'd call him up with Taggart and Giannou. He was called into Arnold's first training camp so he's on the radar.

I've seen many discrepancies over the years. John did you view the video. Second goal the announcer I think says the goal scorer was Marx which is what my app says. In the 4 or 5 German articles I read (via google translate) they all said Marx got the 2nd goal. Even if he only has 4 goals in 7 games, he is starting and playing for a top team in that division (undefeated in 7) after a long injury layoff and he is playing for them after only a week or two preseason. It’s good news even if he isn’t scoring every week. Would be great if this team got promoted to the third division.

https://mobile.twitter.com/mhfootballclub?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5EauthorIt's official. Apparently it's a free and a 2 year deal. So PSV appear to have simply released him. It is what it is and hopefully he can finally get some consistent match time. He'll be in the free agent pool on Fifa 20 at least for career mode. Priorities people!

Macabbi Haifa play against another team from Haifa Saturday night. Reports have their most experienced CB as indefinitely injured. The rest are quite young and very lowly valued on the market. Not to say they're poor though. There's another young CB who seems to have achieved the level.
Sainsbury will be playing regularly soon enough. Quite happy it's all over. Unlike PSV Facebook and now follow Macabbi.

A traditional Maccabi-Hapoel rivalry, the two main sporting clubs in Israel (most cities have a Maccabi club and Hapoel club). Maccabi Haifa are a big deal in Israel. Along with Beitar and Maccabi Tel Aviv they are one of the biggest clubs in both a football sense and fan base.

Let me get this straight, the sport club spans across cities instead of one city with multiple sports? The only equivalent I can think of in Germany would be representing the army in sport. I know those names are common in teams but never looked it up. At the same time, would Macabbi Haifa and Maccabi Tel Aviv have anything to do with each other?

IFK in Sweden has a similar thing IFK Göteborg and IFK Norrköping are the most successful in football. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idrottsföreningen_Kamraterna
