K-League tonight

Wilkinson starting
Jovanovic starting
Cornthwaite bench
DeVere bench

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

HT Seoul 0:0 Jeju. So far he looks decent defensively, playing a Neill type role it seems. Seoul have only had one good chance. Distribution isn't too bad, always plays forward and tries to carry into midfield. First time I've see him play and it's only his second K-League appearance so hopefully he becomes a regular.

Giannou's assist, nice little pass to his teammate who had space to shoot

Also Holland played a full game in a 3-0 win over Salzburg which is a very good result.

This page has highlights from James Hollands match. Does well for the first goal (starts about 45 seconds in), is aware and initially leaves the ball for a teammate before getting it back sidestepping a player before passing it to the player who gets the assist. I think also in the highlight for the second goal but more just receives the ball and gives it back to a player that really starts the play for the goal.

Bozanic got subbed off at half time against Basel in a cup semi overnight. They play each other again on the weekend so hopefully he isn't dropped.

You've been able to find anything on Sainsbury, moofa? Nothing has really been reported on him, but him in the World Cup squad is a must IMO.

Sano has to make it can play RB along with CB is now in a solid league and is well proven at A league level. PEC Zwolle made it to the cup final on the w/e so thats an extra match to add to the 5 already available. If Zwolle can hold onto the last Europa League play off spot he will also get an extra 3 games in the post season torno

all I have been seeing is reports saying he is/was unavailable for games. Bowden tweeted him this morning asking about it bit I don't think he responded. Also if Ajax win tonight Zwolle won't play in the post season tournament as they will get a Europa league spot for being at least the runners up in the cup and the Ajax have a European spot.

Anyone ever watch the U21 Premier League. Didn't realise we had so many players in the comp a good dozen or so. Just wondering what the standard was like League 2, Conference I might guess? A couple of boys from Leicester City Calum Elder and Robert Paratore might see some EPL action next season through injuries or suspensions.

And around 20 more in Championship youth teams. How many make it to a level even as high as the A-League is the question, but all the best to all of them of course.

Apparently Vidsoic has been dropped to the U21s for the rest of the season. Here's a rough translation. Strange. I don't really understand what the situation is.

Quote:
Buhler at Sion dismissed, banished Vidošić in U21

26.3.2014, 11:35 Uhr

If it crises for FC Sion, President Christian Constantin falls to human actions. This time it meets Arnaud Bühler, which dismisses the head of the Club, as well as Dario Vidosic, which must be in the U21. By SI.
According to the French-speaking daily newspaper "Le Nouvel list" Buhler (29) and defender midfielder Vidošić (26) for FC Sion and at its President Constantin retreated to the resentment for the last insufficient performance of the Club. The consequences for Buhler with the immediate release and for Vidošić the banishment in the young are glaringly obvious.

Buhler was already once fallen in disgrace a year ago and penalty been transferred into a "B group" before the Swiss last September when the last of the Super League again was rehabilitated. Constantin said: "I need to have any elements not involved and no desire. Buhler has shown not the commitment or the setting of a player, who wants a contract for next season."

http://www.microsofttranslator.com/bv.aspx?from=&to=en&a=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tageswoche.ch%2Fde%2F2014_12%2Fsport%2F653847%2Fbuehler-und-vidosic-bei-sion-in-u21-verbannt.htm

Here's another article:

Quote:
Dario Vidosic is also covered by the measures of Sion president. "Dario has trained with less than 21 years to find out what will be his next team if he continues on its current growth," he told the newspaper Valais.

http://www.lematin.ch/sports/football/Constantin-sanctionne-Buehler-et-Vidosic/story/18037408

According to an FC Sion Forum it seems like he has had some motivational problems in recent times. That's if I'm getting my head around the dodgy translation.

And it looks like St Gallen in Switzerland are looking at Vidosic:

Quote:
Come Vidosic under in St. Gallen?
03/27/2014 11:58
The fallen into Ungade at FC Sion midfielder Dario Vidosic could switch to FC St. Gallen. The aspens have taken the 26-year-old Australians (with Croatian roots) to target. Currently has me exercising with the Sion U21 on this array of club president Christian Constantin and has no hope of competing applications in the first Team. His contract in Valais runs until 2016.

Apparently Vidsoic has been dropped to the U21s for the rest of the season. Here's a rough translation. Strange. I don't really understand what the situation is.

Buhler at Sion dismissed, banished Vidošić in U21

Here's another article:

Quote:
Dario Vidosic is also covered by the measures of Sion president. "Dario has trained with less than 21 years to find out what will be his next team if he continues on its current growth," he told the newspaper Valais.

According to an FC Sion Forum it seems like he has had some motivational problems in recent times. That's if I'm getting my head around the dodgy translation.

And it looks like St Gallen in Switzerland are looking at Vidosic:

Come Vidosic under in St. Gallen?

The fallen into Ungade at FC Sion midfielder Dario Vidosic could switch to FC St. Gallen. The aspens have taken the 26-year-old Australians (with Croatian roots) to target. Currently has me exercising with the Sion U21 on this array of club president Christian Constantin and has no hope of competing applications in the first Team. His contract in Valais runs until 2016.

He was doing so well when playing as an AM. Hasn't been as good when out on the wing. Although they have won or drawn all games he has started since the Winter break. New manager kind of seems like a jerk to me. Translation can be sketchy but he was dumped to the bench after the winter break when he was their best player at the seasons start. Can he transfer to Gallen now? or he needs to wait for the next window I thought?

Wow. Dropped to the U21s because of an attitude problem.

Maybe he didn't turn up to some training sessions?? I never took him as an unprofessional player. How odd.

Having a few players starting to stumble in the close lead up to Brazil: Kruse, Williams, Sainsbury, Good, McGowan and now Vidosic.

I know Sainsbury and Good should be fit for the WC, however whether they are selected or not depends on if they can get back into the first team fold at club level. Based on a recent article it seems as though Williams could be back playing by April, which is good news however it remains to be seen if he will be fit enough to play in a World Cup, and if he can muster up a few games for Boro. You'd still think he would be unlikely to make it to Brazil. And now it looks like McGowan and Vidosic have had fallings out with their respective managers.

Not the greatest thing in the World, seeing as though four of the above are central defenders... a position where we are already depleted enough.

Maybe move Milligan to CB and put somebody like Brattan next to Jedi?

After having a quick internet search of news on Curtis Good it seems as though he could be back for Dundee United's Scottish Cup semi on April 12 against Rangers.

Hopefully that St. Gallen rumour is true. Sion started out alright, now it's a shambles.

McGowan finally starting for Shandong

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.
