Some Quinn footage Ryan had a decent game overnight, kept a clean sheet. Brugge are currently leading the league but it's neck and neck for the championship and UCL group stage.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Halloran will definitely be called up. Langerak should be starting on weekend due to Weidenfeller's injury

Haven't seen him dribble much tonight, but they love playing that angled ball in behind the left-fullback so Halloran can chase it down with his blistering speed. Few nice one-touch passes and cushioning bring downs to hold possession. looks like david fucking beckham with those locks, playing right wing, and #23 on his back but haha if only he had the same dead-ball ability :(

3-0, involved in that one too. Good ball in from the wing.

Halloran has to start at the world cup with oar on the left. Ange clearly wants rogic to start. If that is the case if rogic can get those balls through space in behind the defenders with Halloran and oar getting the onto those from the wide areas, I would put Leckie up front for a tap in since he could get away from his defenders.

Good to see another young lad do well, 3 in the last 3 games, 4 all combined in his first season in Europe.
Not Bad.

Yeah I think he may have just booked a ticket for Brazil with these recent performances. Would still have Troisi ahead of him though.
Ryan, Langerak, Galekovic
Spiranovic, Sainsbury, Good, Ognenovski, Wilkshire, Davidson, Franjic
Jedinak, Milligan, Leckie, Bresciano, Oar, Holland, Sarota, Rogic, Troisi, Halloran
Cahill, Kennedy, Vidosic
7 (in the preliminary squad): Jones, McGowan, Zullo, Luongo, Bozanic, McKay, Taggart,

I like the squad, but I would try very hard to fit Luongo and Taggart in the squad. Perhaps at the expense of Vidosic and Holland/Sarota. I question whether Troisi, Vidosic, Rogic all fit in the same squad. Edited by R3volution: 18/4/2014 11:37:47 AM

I reckon this will pretty much be the squad. I can see Ange bringing McKay though purely for his versatility. If that's the case, I hope it's for Vidosic. He's had plenty of chances and never really done much in my opinion.

This is looking good maybe Wilkinson for Og has been getting good game time against quality ACL opposition. Mercela for Good think his injury will mean he is just to much underdone and Taagart for Bresciano with Vido moving to midfield 6 games in 6 months for Bresc going into a World Cup at his age is pretty risky. Otherwise this is solid

This is pretty much the squad I would want except Taggart in for Vidosic. Not because he is better, but because it will be good to take an up and coming number nine given our lack of depth in that position. Maybe he could get game time in the final match if we lose the first two matches and therefore have no chance of qualifying out of the group.

He's had a total of 20 minutes for Australia; give the guy a break.

Hrm very close I'd say. Tho, I'd take a backup option for Davidson at LB at the expense of one of Holland, Sarota, Rogic, Troisi, vidosic or Halloran. Also I'd agree with another poster taking a younger 3rd choice striker for the experience. Taggart, Juric etc could be an option.

Should take a guy who just won the HAL Golden Boot...we don't have many better OS options to bring in.

Unfortunately the following has just been reported. Borussia Dortmund's U-23 team has the final sprint season without midfielder Mustafa Amini. The bone suffered in January compression sets the 20-year-old out of action for longer than previously expected. As for Taggart I'm particularly concerned that he can't seem to score away from Hunter Stadium - but Ange's comments about the HAL and performing make it hard to think he won't make it.
