Currently watching VVV v Volendam, 5th v 8th in the Dutch second division. Ascroft's on the bench. Pretty impressive standard of play. Good place for youngsters to be so hopefully he gets plenty of time next season, could be one to keep an eye on. Not sure what's up with Travis Cooper.. probably injured. Marveggio is starting for Telstar against Twente youth. They're down in 17th.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

True this, the league is so quick and physically demanding these days that you need to frame to reach what's coming at you/wide of you. Barthez, Niemi, Given, serrani all outstanding keepers. Trouble for matt is that the guys these days that we look at as small are still 1.88-1.90 tall. I just have a feeling that he would get battered in the EPL, and unfortunately there as a new face he'd lose favor very quickly. Better to build upon his excellent start in Europe by staying on the continent.

Giannou played in a friendly vs Olympiacos. They lost 5-3, Giannou didn't score but the last few games he played out wide so it was always going to be more likely he would be getting assists. Unfortunately there are no highlights to see if he was involved in the goals.

Trent Sainsbury will miss PEC Zwolle's last home game of the season (not match fit).
For those who missed it PEC Zwolle stunned Ajax 5-1 in the Dutch Cup Final.

Jeju 2-1 Busan: Jovanovic scored an own goal. Jeonbuk 4-1 Gyeongnam: DeVere conceded a penalty in the last few minutes. Wilkinson presumably had a good game. Both played 90 minutes. Jeonbuk lead the league. Jeju are 3rd.

Leckie unlucky (unleckie?) to get an assist just now with a well found pass, but the keeper was up to block the strike.

Leckie with the final pass into the area to Andrew Wooten who scored, but I doubt it'll go down as an assist due to the great work by the latter to beat his man and shoot from an incredibly tight angle.
As I type FSV win a penalty and go up 2-0, Leckie not involved.

Striught red card for an FSV player for a headbutt off play, followed by a chest bump melee with all four officials involved

Sucks about Good still being injured.
Sainsbury and Goos to miss the World Cup then? Lucas must be close to getting a spot.

Very nice! =d>
How much has he improved anyway, when i saw him he wasn't very smart in terms of his decision making, has that improved?
Still 5 league goals in his debut European season is very encouraging indeed, he has to be in the World Squad now surely.
