If only Ange would play oar as a number 10 more often In other news Eli Babalj has been on the bench for the last two AZ games

Dammit, would've been great for Brillante to bury that. Probably should've.
But fantastic that he got some minutes.

ange may have found his broich Oar has been used too much as a winger for the national team with instructions to take players on and drive to the byline, but I agree, he is more a playmaker for his club. We should player Davidson, Smith, Leckie or Troisi as the left winger IMO. Ryan Herd - Sainsbury - Spiranovic - Davidson Jedinak Bresciano - Oar Kruse - Cahill - Leckie
In Ball Possession, Jedinak should drop into the backline and the FBs should push forward: Ryan Sainsbury - Jedinak - Spiranovic Herd - Bresciano - Davidson Oar Kruse - Cahill - Leckie
Another option would be to replace Jedinak with Milligan given he is a better distributor of the ball.

I think the guy can become a regular scorer if given a chance. Don't think Oar's performance as a 10 will go unnoticed. Good to see Oar is performing well and not looking for the first move away to the EPL. These guys need to grow into their roles and become consistent performers all the time and then maybe consider a step up if it is the right fit. Edited by mark457: 6/10/2014 11:23:00 午前

just a couple of thoughts on the last couple of weeks:
I hope Herd can get his loan extended but it will be hard witha new manager
I would prefer Luongo, Leckie, Wright to wait until the end of the season to try and get a transfer. If they can get promotion with their current clubs it will be much better than any transfer imo.
If Oar plays centrally for club it could be amazing for the national team as it could help in improving his performances and it would allow us to get Oar, Leckie and Kruse all in a starting lineup.
Magath may have been crazy but it seems like he was great for our players getting game time in the championship

Great to see Brilliante in amongst it again, and of course welcome back Kruse!
Great news overnight.

Im curious to why Oar struggles when he plays as a No.10 for the National Set-Up whilst he kills it there for Utrecht?

I would like Ange to ditch 4-2-1-3 and play with the two No.10s with Oar and Luongo there, they can rotate when controlling and pushing forward. We need to accommodate Leckie with Kruse out wide with Cahill up top.

Also he plays as a wide play maker rather than the point of a midfield triangle think broichs role for roar he has played 10 and even 6 before but wide playmaker is when he dominates

It's quite easy to say that shifting him central will get him creating chances for the Roos but look at the people he's creating for.
Cahill- Very little off the ball runs and doesn't move into the channels, remains central for the team to play around him and put in a cross. Leckie- Again, no penetrating runs off the ball. Preferred method is to receive the ball deep and run at defenders.
This doesn't change if Oar is central.

This doesn't change if Oar is central. Agreed. It's got nothing to do with where Oar starts on the pitch, but the game plan in which he has clearly been instructed to get around the outside of his fullback to whip crosses in to Cahill. In the games where he has varied his movement, runs and positioning, he's looked far more dangerous and even contributed to a few goals.
