Nathan Coe would be proud of that
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

GREAT to hear about Rogic. His NT chances will only improve the more he grows at Celtic. Rogic will surely supplant, DARE I SAY, even Bresc in the pecking order soon. And with Bresc aging, I doubt even Bresc would mind so, that much. Especially as the likes of he and Cahill are calling on these very young players to push them more for a place in the team. Whether he will supplant Holman for a starting place... The calls for it to be so grow, but guess we'll see. But if grazorblade is right, that will only improve his chances. Farrand93 wrote:Jon Brady, what a gun!!! Back to back promotion looking likely.
Any A-League clubs looking for a proven Aussie coach, jump on that! Thanks for the highlight Farrand93, I looked him up: He was the kind of long time Conference level player who was at his peak around early A-League era, who you wonder how he would've gone back here. Newcastle boy too, one wonders how he would've gone early era Jets. But Shane Huke came back to spend a season with the Mariners and didn't hit it off, just to return to Conference level in England to be a regular there. Though Brady had far more experience than Huke, even at the relative age. Anyway, he's been managing at Brackley Town since 2009, taking them from the 7th Tier, to 6th Tier (Highest level in club's history) and into the play offs for the 5th tier (Conference National - 'Blue Square' Premier). But I see they aren't there yet, Conference North Semi-Final Play-Offs. Anyway, should they see promotion to the 5th tier (A NEW Highest level in their history), then that's the the top of the lower league 'National System' and on the doorstep of the 'English League System' or Tier 4 - League Two or the old Division 3. Now THAT would be something, though I would presume, by then, a slightly higher tier or ranked club would be picking him up! One has to wonder, being a British bread coach, albeit recent generation one, what kind of football philosophy he has and what kind of football his team plays. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_BradyEdited by gloryperth: 28/4/2013 11:17:05 PM

Rogic off 72nd minute good first half, quiet second, the position he's playing is not right for him at all (DM)

Yeah, pretty quiet 2nd half but I don't really think he could do much about that, most of the play was down the right and Celtic were pretty poor after half time - they were struggling to stick simple passes, poor defensive positionings, etc. Seemed nobody wanted to pass it to him also...he was taking up good positions in acres of space on the edge of the box.
He did start to look short of a gallop after 60 minutes though when the game opened up.

Didn't he leave Red Star quit a while ago, return to Heart, and he transferred to AZ Alkmaar more recently? IM CONFUSED! :? IF he's playing and scoring for AZ, that's terrific news! \:d/

Ruka not in Mainz squad. Weird considering Szalai is out for the season now.Shawn Parker is preferred. I'll listen for a reason on tv, maybe injured.
Cologne only manage a draw which sees FSV Frankfurt and Leckie with a chance at 3rd and a playoff. Kaiserslautern to play tomorrow and probably have a firm grasp on 3rd but anything is possible.

Shame about Ruka, was hoping he'd get another crack this week. Whilst he was a little rusty last match, he showed some good signs.

He's had a good season but at this point I can still only see him as an 88th minute sub for a club like gladbach. Should be interesting either way.

Did Rogic manage to beat opposition players at all 1vs1? I'm guessing that wasn't his function in the team and I'm as or more concerned about his positioning and vision, but it would be fun to see him take players on. After the last WC qualifier, in which only Kruse and Oar proved capable of doing that, it would be grand to have Rogic capable of that too.
Also, regarding Kruse, johnszasz you mentioned he tried. Did he manage to do anything much down his wing? Or set up players in the middle?

About a week ago, he said he would return to Gladbach only if he was in the first team and would refuse to play in the reserves. If he were to be put in the reserve squad he would search for another German club.

grazorblade wrote:zullo got some time. Sad ruka is out again What happened to Tommy Oar? Watched the Celtic game until Rogic got taken off. He is physically a lot stronger and sharper. Held the ball well and passed well, beat the odd player and then released. Definitely looked good on the ball and could end up a very good number 10, both club-wise and for Australia. Playing on the left of the diamond as he did doesn't really suit him but he did well.

I'm surprised that rogic has adapted as quickly as he has. Its a bigger adjustment than people might think

"Looks terrible imo" Some good comments aboiut him too though. And I think generally Scottish fans are less appreciating of technical type players. Also way too early for them to judge so harshly, especially when out of position as all of the ones who hold high hopes for him agree.
