He's playing LB apparently, comments all seem positive. Taggart and Burgess both started for Fulham U21. Taggart was subbed at half time, as was Mrcela in his game. Not sure if they were shite or injured. McGowan v Rogic tonight. (y) Confirmed Rogic is starting?

Maty plays at 6:30am AEST tomorrow morning. A relatively good time for Aussies.
Valencia's opening game of the La Liga season away to Rayo Vallecano.
Streamed live on Bet365.

What was the tone of your first post? It didn't sound all that great and you can expect folk to mock it. On the other hand... Are you generally interested in the proportions of Australians with Anglo-Saxon-Celtic backgrounds who play football, particularly in Europe, compared to in the past? If so, just watch how you word it. In answer to your question. There's a few. Taggart, Burgess, Smith, Irvine, Good, Lennox and a number of others. Most will have parents who have a British passport. It's highly difficult for players without an EU passport to get a contract overseas. Otherwise, we'd probably see more players without EU passports there (whether they have an Anlgo-Saxon background or not).

Why anyone would care about whether the days of Anglo domination of the Socceroos are over is beyond most of us, I'm afraid. Most of us would never have even made the conclusion that there was such a time. What kind of person pays attention to such things?

Seems like Rogic had a solid 80 mins in a holding role.
Going off good reception on Celtic forums so don't know too much myself.

Rogic put in a good shift, but I totally agree that he got bypassed by the defenders who looked to play direct often.
I really get the feeling that he is wasted in CDM, but at the same time, it may really improve aspects of his defensive game which he is not known for.

For anyone who watched the game, did Rogic play well? Pros and cons specifically?

McGowan played a full game also at defensive mid. Had a decent chance when it was 0-1 but put it wide. https://streamable.com/uetx

Don't know about Irvine's involvement but Ross County went 0-2 up in 4 minutes. Inman has gotten involved in the first league one goal of the day Quote:Crewe Alexandra F.C. @crewealexfc 14m14 minutes ago GOAL! Crewe 1-0 Bury: King, 3: Inman's ball across, Haber lost control but Kingy was on hand to steer in at the back post! #crewealex

Kruse subbed on at 74 minutes, don't know how he did but Leverkusen held on to win 1-0.
Luongo with an assist, game still going with QPR up 3-1. Really pleased that he seems to have slotted straight into the first eleven and seems to be handling the step up well. Hope QPR go back up to the PL for his sake!

Griffiths starting. Doesn't look like Bulut's in the squad. Wright played 90 and Kilkenny played 75.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.
