Do you mean for tomorrow morning? Yeah very little chance of him playing in the UCL but they have St. Johnstone at home on the weekend so should play then.

Also if Celtic loses tomorrow I wonder if any players will push towards the exit. I am guessing it would confirm Van Dijk but that wouldn't effect Rogic's chances. The one that would is Johansen who may want to go to a bigger league without that champions league and if some clubs are looking to turnaround bad starts to the see they may panic and put in an offer Celtic will accept.




+1, I am not the sort of person to question peoples moves but I think Irvine loans and now transfer is close to the best he could have done. I doubt he could have done much more on loan for the last two seasons for Celtic to look at him and if he was in one of our less stable positions (eg. fullback) he would have more caps for the national team. He is playing the same opposition as Rogic and has played a full 90 minutes in over 20 league games in both of the last two seasons, Mark Milligan has only done that twice (partially due to A-league season lengths). Irvine has gone from well behind players like Brad Smith (different position, I know) to a national team selection while Brad Smith should be regretting ending his Swindon loan early.

This is not to say I think Brad Smith is bad but where is he? he isn't even in Liverpool U21 squads atm. I think if we can get enough people to remember him he will have to re-appear.

Moofa - Just re: Brad Smith's departure from Liverpool - they recalled him. I'm not sure how much say he had in the matter, but Liverpool were short of squad options mid that season. If they're recalling you early from loan, I suppose it's pretty damn hard to refuse that recall, infact I'm not sure that's even possible? :-k

But we were vaguely optimistic that Rodgers may've had plans to elevate him? Whether he did or didn't, I vaguely recall fitness/injury issues got in the way some point - granted I'm not sure he's ever been seriously considered for a while now? :-k

Swindon's manager seemed keen to bring him back - so why it can't be re-arranged... less Swindon have their own options now or perhaps again, Smith has fitness issues. :/
