Rogic has had plenty of time to recover. But Celtic see him as a 'luxury' player and in Europe they go for the workmen because that's just how they think. He might come on later when they're chasing the game.
Also I want to say how incredibly awesome the google calendar is! The team schedule of every Overseas Aussie's team is on mine and I love it!

Was actually just procrastinating on study and trying to figure out how to scrape data of websites like whoscored but seems a bit over my head atm because its in javascript. If anyone has any programming knowledge they might be able to whip somethin up. Also Langan, its working pretty good on the weekends but i've found most of the sources i'm grabbing it from aren't updating the Champions/Europa/Respective cup games during the week which is annoying.

You have to go through the different leagues. The two UEFA leagues haven't been updated since last year so you have to go into the other one to get the team you want, if that makes sense.

No Rogic nor Mabil this morning.
The former on the bench, the later not in the squad.

There is more to football then just being able to "hold the ball under pressure". As for "the rest are just workhorses" - workhorses? Hmmm, I don't know about that. Having a higher work rate than Rogic at the minute, yes. Along with a few being technically sound players along with the work rate. Finally, regarding "will be chasing shadows for 90mins" - Celtic held their own this morning. Yes, as expected Ajax came out fast at the start of the match, but Celtic played themselves into the match. It wasn't until after Izaguirre's sending off that Ajax took control of the game again. Up until then, we looked very good for all three points.

a 2-2 draw against ajax away from home is nothing to be sneezed at
also if I was the coach I would play two number 10s including rogic at home but not away from home. Ange did the same opting for McKay instead.
rogic seems to be part of a squad rotation about 2 3rds of his games have been very good

Tonight/Tomorrow morning:
Ipswich Town vs Birmingham City (4.45am) FC Heidenheim vs Leipzig (2.30am) Osijek vs NK Zagreb (2.00am)
Few Jupiler League games kicking off at 4am too, couldn't remember which clubs the Aussie lads play for.
Hoping to see Tommy make his Town debut tonight.

Looked like Commons was the No.10 for Celtic he is much more mobile unlike Rogic in fact his style is similar to a Brett Holman, does a lot of running and he is not the playmaking type unlike Rogic.
And given Celtic were playing on the counter, it probably wasn't the type of game for Rogic to excel in.
Hopefully he will be given a go on the weekend.

Yep there is no doubting the technical ability of the celtic players and in the past their football may have been a bit rushed however the new manager has changed their tactical approach a little bit which should suit rogic in the long term. He is way off being a starter in their first pick 11 but if he remains injury free, gets some consistency in his game and builds up a full time professional footballer's motor (I don't know if that makes sense) things may different by the end of the season and next season.

Edited by Barca4life: 18/9/2015 03:22:13 PM The only reason they played on the counter is because they didn't have someone like rogic to control the tempo

For now it's really just Dougall at Sparta Rotterdam. The good news he's a regular and they're doing very well, currently 2nd.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Indeed neverwozza, though many of us have said this of Rogic for a while now. Hopefully that's starting to be so, but players like Commons are proven pros who keep delivering. You don't just walk into an elite professional team, let alone one like Celtic. Rogic I'm sure knows that well by now, we should too. It's good to see he's finally seeing some opportunity though and with greater fitness, the greater impression he leaves with his Celtic stints - the more folks in the football world will take notice. That's why it's pleasing he has scored a goal and caught the eye already. He just needs to keep that up.
