well they kind of took it in turns

sarota had a full season where he was a starter and a bit of a standout. Oar got minutes just before he turned 19 and made the starting squad in the following season
zullo had bouts as a starter but injuries and form meant he struggled to keep it up

Update on what is happening with Brad Smith. Looks like he wants first team football and Liverpool wants to keep him or get compensation. I think looking for first team football is the right move but you have to wonder if he did a full pre-season at Liverpool there could have been a decent chance for first team football with Moreno out of favor and Gomez and centre-back played the first few games at left back. Irvine was nearly put in a similar situation where he was offered a Celtic contract even though they weren't going to play him but wanted to get something for him, luckily for him he could walk away from Celtic more easily than what Smith is going through.
