PNE got their first home win of the season with a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forrest. Wright seems to be in some stellar form with back to back MOTM awards and 5 clean sheets in a row. From PNE's twitter account: Quote:90+4' Bailey Wright is named the George Banks Jewellers man on the match for the second game running. Well deserved. #PNElive 1-0
SG [PNE's manager] on Bailey Wright: "he leads by example and has stepped up to the mark fantastically" #PNELive
SG: "it's a tough division. To get five clean sheets on the trot in the Championship is huge credit to the players" #PNElive

Troisi got 77 mins in Saudi Arabia but did not score Ruka played 89 mins in 1-0 win and his side are third. Mass Luongo was not in the squad for QPR's loss to Derby Tommy Oar was an unused sub in Ipswich's 2-0 win Bailey Wright played 90 mins and got man of the match in Preston's 1-0 win. Neil Kilkenny came on in the 83rd minute Jason Davidson played 90 mins in 2-2 draw for huddersfield.

Elder scored and thumped Doncaster 4-0, has to be close to a call up surely?

Get in Bailey!! Got the armband in the preseason, I think he's a vice, or third choice. Tom Clarke is the captain

McGowen and Taggart play Motherwell in the League Cup quater finals. Would have to say that Dundee United go in as underdogs.

Tagged really needs to jag a goal soon...
Very interesting about Elder and the Olyroos... Maybe he opted to stay with his club for now?

I know a lot of the supporters don't think much of him. Hopefully the new QPR manager plays Mass in a deeper role too.

More talk of Ikon debuting tomorrow again. I wouldn't get you're hopes up but the game is at 7am so if you are getting up early anyway I would be check the lineups. He is in the 18 man squad which in terms of wingers has 4 players with Anderson out. Kishna who is expected to start on the left, Keita who is returning from injury so will probably used as a sub and Candreva who is obviously above Ikon but with Anderson injured they may want to rest for the Rome derby on the weekend.
Lazio are 3 points clear a lot of the group and as previously mentioned have a Rome derby on the weekend so is expected to field a second string team with Ravel Morrison pretty much confirmed to be making his debut.

Good news they think Taggart is a 90 minute player this early on but they look destined for relegation. Hard for a striker to play in a team who will spend most of the season defending, but he did well in a mediocre Newcastle side and is probably better on the counter anyway.

I guess that's what happens when you appoint a youth coach. As for the Mass situation, he should be fine. Can QPR maintain their financial stability if they don't get promoted?
I remember hearing they were in deep shit if they got relegated.

He has appeared in 12 (2 sub appearances) out of 15 games so far. I would hardly call that sparingly. BETHFC wrote: Can QPR maintain their financial stability if they don't get promoted?

Their debt has been absolved by their shareholders (Essentially Fernandez and his mates) and the finances have been arranged so that they should be pretty safe in terms of FFP. Even if they do get fined some ridiculous sum, our owner is one of the richest men in Asia and will be able to pay it off without issue.

It doesn't change that fact that lately he has been out of favour after playing 90 mins in most games at the beginning of the season.

Whenever he has come off he looks absolutely knackered. He looked well out of sorts in the Jordan game as well. Ramsey rested him the last game for that very reason. I think playing 50 odd games in the past year has caught up with him
