Smith played in England under 21 team

But senior cap for Socceroos. So he's locked in for us.

Help me in my ignorance..LB means as the Liverpool goalie looks forward, Smith would be on his far left?

Is #18 the LFC LB? He seems so far forward?

Back to the game, how did that not go in. Liverpool defense all at sea

yes, #18 is left back for LFC

He's a workhorse then. Up and back.

Yes, it was a foul. But it was not enough for morino to stay down, and it cost the goal in the end
As the commentators said, in their day if a player tried that, the other teammates would slaughter him in the rooms

Damn slow game. Klopp must be loving the premier league so far. Not sure how his forwards are going to get space to create anything lol

quite a frigid game

Hopefully smith gets a run this half. Pretty shitty game so far, ball control from some of these players has been woeful.

I agree, it's crazy to think they went with Neville

Must have something to do with the Singaporean owner, maybe a united fan? Probs likes us Aussies and was behind Maty's signing.

It's pretty fishy actually. Back in September, Peter Lim (Valencia owner) purchased half of Salford United. The rest is owned by Gary Neville, Phil Neville, and a couple of other ex-Man U players. So it seems like they're buddies. If I were a Valencia supporter I'd be pretty annoyed with the lack of transparency in the coach appointment process. Surely there were better, more qualified candidates available but it seems the job went to someone with no coaching experience who just happened to already know the club's owner.

Moreno was always going to be a Klopp favourite. Like Schmelzer, he'll hold onto him until his form drops. Löwe moved to Kaiserslautern while Durm pushed through and took Schmelzer's place for a period.

Moreno just left the man free for the assist 2:0. Pretty average performance from the whole team. Moreno is the exact attacking type Klopp likes but Smith is similar.

We shouldn't be drawing any Amini comparisons as Dortmund had a world class midfield.

The recent mention of Aussies being discriminated against might be true in extremely few cases. The golden generation always played because they were simply that. Football has globalized so much in the last 15 years that a combination of lesser ability of our players and a bigger talent pool would lead to such a quantity of match time.
