Fucks sake Smithy Jones and Juric starting (NEC v Roda).
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

I think that's Smiths last game for Liverpool this season and possibly ever...

He laughed when Smith was sent off. He ended Smith's Liverpool career before he could waddle off the pitch.

Klopp never seemed to like him and now this... :( Where are you getting that from? It was Klopp who heard Smith was trialling with Rosenborg, had a look at him and said- right, get this fella back. Just because he doesn't start every week it doesn't mean Klopp doesn't value his presence at Liverpool. We have a lot of options. Moreno, when on song, is sheer quality. Flanagan is also a very decent player who can do the job at left-back. It's tough tying down a spot at Liverpool. Simple as that.

juric man of the match smith with a whoscored rating of 4.9! (would have been 5.9 without the red card) so terrible game
shame he probably needs to try another club. You rarely come back as a young player for the same club after a performance like that

Only got the donkey Dummett at left back, and he'd be under the guidance of Rafa so hopefully would improve out of sight. Might even use his Liverpool connections to secure him. He'd be an absolute gun at Newcastle.

Gonna go against the grain here and say that Smith didn't play thaaat bad. Liverpool as a unit simply did not show up, with the central midfielders shouldering most of the blame for the insipid first half imo. Smith did alright when on the ball, got forward well as usual and wasn't at fault for any of the goals.
The red card was a little unfortunate too, he just got beaten to the punch with a bouncing ball, there was certainly no intent, just a little clumsy.
The fickleness of people on this forum amazes me, on page 1115 Smith is a world beater and our greatest prospect, and suddenly on 1116 Smith has blown his chance and is going nowhere.
In saying all of this though, a move to a lower table/promoted EPL club next season would be phenomenal

It's just very hard as a young player to come back from a bad game for a top club coaches of big clubs can be pretty cutthroat He might be good enough to play a season or two for a weaker epl club and come back Edited by grazorblade: 2/5/2016 10:06:31 AM

Edited by adrtho: 2/5/2016 04:43:13 AM Depends. If he keeps playing like he does, and improves, he will be gone after his contract, I'm sure. I heard a rumor his salary was about 700 000 NOK, which is about 120k Australian dollars.
