Jesus the prick's on fire
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Dylan McGowan has certainly cemented his starting spot at Hearts. No idea how he's performing though. Davidson starting against Twente Williams straight red... Lowry got one last week. Edited by playmaker11: 22/9/2013 02:00:56 AM

We have quite a decent list of aussies making an impact in Europe Leckie and ruka at Frankfurt Wilkshire starting again for dynamo Kruse at leverkusen Mitch occasionally at Dortmund Sarota and oar start every week when fit for Utrecht Davidson starting at Heracles Rogics getting the occasional run at Celtic which has been the most disappointing since we can directly compare him to other Aussie players and conclude he is good enough but having a tough time for whatever reason vidosic doing well at sion Oliver bouzanic carving it up at luzern Holland doing very well at Austria Ryan doing very well for brugge Williams an championship captain Lowry in his third season starting in the championship Jedi an epl captain Irvine starting each week at Kilmarnock McGowan starting each week at hearts Then there is Scott McDonald and Kilkenny
A good coach could do really well with that lot..next year we should see another half dozen step up to start in a European club which may take us to a position where we are starting to rival the golden generation..

Heracles 1-0 down at HT. Should be 2-0 but Davidson made a brilliant and crucial tackle.

Edited by grazorblade: 22/9/2013 02:37:19 AM The good thing is, you can make a starting 11 without playing anyone out if position. ----------------Langerak Wilkshire-Williams-Lowry-Davidson -----------Jedi---------Holland Kruse---------Rogic-----------Oar ----------McDonald/Leckie

Very good by Kruse. He needed to make the most of his opportunities and scoring 2 plus an assist is doing exactly that. It should mean that he at least gets some good time off the bench even if he is not starting.

If you go here you can see what individual J-league clubs spent on wages in the past. 1 yen = 1 cent. http://www.j-league.or.jp/eng/data/index_03.htmlyoung Japanese players have a cap on wages and foreigners got paid a lot more than locals. SInce 2009 I assume wages have contracted and foreigners no longer get paid many more times than locals.

As much as I love Rogic and want to see him do well if he isn't getting the minutes at Celtic I really think Bozanic or Vidosic should be the back up AM for Cahill for the next qualifiers I think its only fair.

Also does anyone have an expected date of return for Sarota or Valari from their respective injuries?

Edited by grazorblade: 22/9/2013 02:37:19 AM All younger players as well. Our problem really has been those who should now be 25-32, those who were in their key stage of development when the NSL was dying/first couple of years of the A-League. Plenty of young players coming through now, are you watching Holger? Besides Sarota anyone know when Herd should be back? Also, really nice to see this from the OS Aussies update: Stoke City U21 v West Ham United U21 0-1 (0-1) Alex Grant played a full match for Stoke while Dylan Tombides also played a full match for West Ham. Stoke remains in 14th position while West Ham went to the top. Edited by SC03: 22/9/2013 12:20:48 PM

meanwhile we are gaining 6 aussies securing starting places in europe every year. We currently have 17 I believe (counting ruka at frankfurt which is possibly counting chickens before they hatch). By next world cup we should have 40. That would be unprecedented right?
