+xThe japanese player that went from hannover to marseille is absolutely rubbish. Played poorly in week 1 and almost scored an own goal. Is that Sakai related to the other Sakai who plays for Hamburg and is also a Right fullback? Would still kill for either in the Roos

+x+x+xfortunately it seems to be just one fan who has it out for ryan Yeah, noticed that same guy in their opening day match thread calling Ryan all sorts of shit, really doesn't like him for whatever reason. From the thread Socceroofan linked it looks like he's annoyed at him from when they conceded 7 to Barcelona, and thinks Ryan should've saved three of Las Palmas' four goals from the other day. Ah well. I did see a Valencia fan respond in that match thread saying he didn't think Ryan had done much wrong in his Valencia stint, so that's encouraging at least. In other semi-Aussie-related news, Celtic have sold Norwegian attacking midfielder Johansen to Fulham. Not sure that he was a regular starter, plays the same position as Rogic though so less competition at least. I've seen some fans suggest that Celtic should be looking to strengthen the midfield though, so they may yet bring someone else in. he was the player rogic knocked out from the starting lineup player of the year the year before rogic knocked him out will be interesting to see how much game time he gets for fulham. Rogic is definitely the number 1 attacking midfielder at Celtic at the minute, I know he didn't start in Israel, but we were going really defensive in that game, Rodgers is after 1 more midfielder and it could be the boy from Everton he wants. This could be Rogic's defining year as a footballer, he has the attacking midfield role at a side who are going to play some big teams and man city in the ucl. He needs to grab this opportunity with both hands, it's on him, if he fails it won't be a through a lack of faith from Celtic.

Langerak started, won away from home. Halloran remained on the bench. Deggy and Leckie tonight, plus Yeboah who is having a good start to the season.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Personally, I would rather we sign another center back and striker before we sign anymore midfielders as we are lacking in depth (and quality) in these two positions.

Would still kill for either in the Roos Hiroki is the ex Hannover now Marseille who I think hasn't played against Australia. Gotoku sakai was at Stuttgart now Hamburg. Gotoku can play both sides. Hiroki is likely better than our right backs but both are a bit of a liability.

+x+x+xThe japanese player that went from hannover to marseille is absolutely rubbish. Played poorly in week 1 and almost scored an own goal. Sakai was always a weak defender if you took him on. He did well against Leckie in April. If he's confident he can become a handful. He generally gets caught out of position. No wonder you got relegated with him at the back. Lol thanks. Yeah it was a shambles of a season. More Marcelo at CB was a real issue and no strikers and a coward captain.

Djite scored twice (Suwon City). Velaphi played a full match, lost 2-1. Degenek starting.

Yep we've got far too many central midfielders. Even with Johansen gone, we still have another 4-5 who could play in Rogic's spot. Some quality at the back is definitely needed instead.

0-0 away draw for Degenek. Yet again. Seems to be problems in the front third.

Jedinak, Luongo, Mooy, Rogic, Leckie, Elder, Wright, starting, O'Neill, Federici bench just to name a few.
Won't know about Ryan until a little later.
There may be a few others I've missed.

Leckie with a polite 'fuck you, c***' to Aaron Hunt to rival his Ron Vlaar world cup moment.

+xThat O' Neill needs to be capped. Do you know if he's eligible for anyone else? I read around and couldn't find any hints of it, but it can be pretty hard trying to prove a negative with limited info.
