+xI'd like to see the 'fallen giants' stuttguart back in the bundesligaTheir fan base is to big for 2. Bundesliga and their crowd capacity is 60k. Thats insane for a 2.bundesliga club And it's this attitude that has football backwards in this country. They can fill out a 100k stadium. Just because they have fans doesn't give them a pass to the first league.

The problem is under our pyramid you could be forgiven to think the club has fallen off the planet. As for WSW i will wait till their back at Pertek till I judge them. Good to see fickle support in Sydney isnt confined to the east. :haha:

Mabil played the full game as his team lost 3-0, leaving them bottom of the table and basically nailed on for relegation. I'm guessing Awer won't be playing in Denmark next season...
Aziz Behich played the full game as his team won 3-0, keeping them solidly in mid-table.
Goodwin and Dougall were both on the bench as Sparta lost 3-2 in a relegation battle, with Goodwin coming on as a substitute.
Also, Ajdin Hrustic made his second appearance for Groningen as they won 2-0.

Mabil is on loan to get some game time from Midetylland, who are 5th, so I imagine he will be going back to them next season.
I often wonder if Behich has ambitions to move to aarger club, whether in Tuekey or elsewhere.

1 goal and 90 minutes for Armenakas.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Here's an update on some of the younger/lesser known Aussies abroad: Gabriel Cleur (the 19 year old at Virtus Entella in Serie B) has played his last five games at five different positions (RB, DM, CB, LB, CM). According to his Transfermarkt Page, his most common position is RB. Surely worth keeping tabs on for the future! Reno Piscopo (18 year old left winger/forward) scored his first goal for Torino in the Primavera this week. Jonathon Alcorace (19 year old at Salernitana in Serie B/Primavera) has being playing regularly at right back and centre back for the U19 team. The team has been horrible and only won 1 of the 13 games he's played in this year, but hopefully that's not a reflection on him. Cameron Burgess (21 year old midfielder/centreback at Bury in League One) has being playing regularly for the senior team as a centre back. According to his Transfermarkt Page, he's played 13 games this year for them - all for the full 90 minutes at CB - and they've only lost twice in that period. Definitely one to look out for in the future! Also, here's some young Aussies abroad that are harder to find data on because they're still playing at youth level or in competitions where data isn't easily available: - Daniel Baggio (17 year old midfielder at Sampdoria in Italy) - Thomas Prinsen (17 year old attacking midfielder at PEC Zwolle in the Netherlands) - Yanni Barberoglou (17 year old striker at Feyenoord in the Netherlands) - Dylan Ryan (16 year old centre-back at Willem II in the Netherlands) - Jake Soutter (18 year old goalkeeper at Fulham in England) - Liam Driscoll (17 year old goalkeeper at Reading in England) - Ashley Maynard-Brewer (17 year old goalkeeper at Charlton Athletic in England) - Jacob Young (17 year old centre-back at Sunderland in England) - Joel Rollinson (17 year old attacking midfielder at Reading in England) - James Georgaklis (18 year old midfielder at Swindon Town in England) - Con Ouzonidis (17 year old defender at Everton in England) - Daniel Wong (19 year old striker at Espanyol in Spain) - Isaac Danzo (17 year old defensive midfielder at Levante in Spain) - Jake Brimmer (19 year old midfielder at Liverpool in England) - Chris Marques (19 year old goalkeeper at Nottingham Forest in England) - Dominic Kurasik (20 year old goalkeeper at Brentford in England) - Jasko Keranovic (19 year old goalkeeper at West Brom in England) - Tom Glover (19 year old goalkeeper at Tottenham in England) - Lyndon Dykes (21 year old striker at Queen of the South in Scotland) - Jordan Lyden (21 year old defensive midfielder at Aston Villa in England) - Joshua Laws (19 year old defensive midfielder at Fortuna Dusseldorf in Germany) If any of the above players could break out and nail down roles in the first teams at their respective clubs, that would be fantastic. In the unlikely event that all of the above players become members of their senior teams, the future potential would be insane for the national team. And my goodness are we stacked for goalkeeper options for the next 15 years!

Since joining this forum almost 10 years, I've seen countless lists of young players like that everyone faps over due to the club theyre contracted to. Since then the success rate has proven incredible low. I doubt any of them will make it in Europe, maybe a couple will end up in the ALeague in 3-4 years. The rest you'll never hear of again.

Sad truth. So many don't make it and rarely end up being in a top league.

That sounds like most countries and young stars. Its why big club academies sign 100s of players hoping for a couple to succeed.

Since then the success rate has proven incredible low. I doubt any of them will make it in Europe, maybe a couple will end up in the ALeague in 3-4 years. The rest you'll never hear of again. That's sadly the truth, and it mostly comes down to the fact that they are underdeveloped here in Australia and then find themselves out of their depth when they move to clubs in Europe. Hopefully a few players I listed can buck the trend. Based on what I've seen or heard of the players I listed, I'd group them like this: Possible Socceroos/Big Five League material if they keep on track: - Cameron Burgess - Panos Armenakas - Thomas Prinsen - Dylan Ryan - Aiden O'Neill Enough quality to be a first teamer for a club abroad, possibly the above category if they step up to senior level: - Reno Piscopo - Jake Brimmer - Joel Rollinson - Joshua Laws - Ashley Maynard-Brewer - Tom Glover - Jordan Lyden A-League quality, if they fail to step up: - Sebastian Pasquali - Daniel De Silva - Gabriel Cleur - Lyndon Dykes - Con Ouzonidis - Liam Driscoll Unknown (could be any of the above or total nobodies in a decade's time, haven't got enough of an idea from the available data/seeing them play): - Jonathon Alcorace - Daniel Baggio - Yanni Barberoglou - Jake Soutter - Jacob Young - James Georgaklis - Daniel Wong - Isaac Danzo - Chris Marques - Dominic Kurasik - Jasko Keranovic

Jedinak and Irvine facing each other. Mooy and Wright starting. Bristol really need a win. No Williams or Elder for Barnsley. A rough season with little but time consuming injuries.
Meredith and Burgess starting against each other. O'Neill, Inman on the bench. No Beadling or Herd.
Maty, Davidson and Hrustic on later. Trying to find info on Yeboah. Bulut has been injured for a while with muscle problems.

No real surprises here that Mooy is starting for Huddersfield who are away at Nottingham Forest. Game is live on Bein Sports 1 for those who have Foxtel. It's great to be able to watch Mooy play a full game at club level on TV when I'm still awake, this has only happened 3-4 times this season.

Kwame scored the third goal in a 3-1 away win that keeps them second in the Regionalliga table. He's scored 8 goals from 22 games so far this season.
