All i know is we have resigned everybody but Kokado (Went USA), Jovovic (Injuries), Chun (Released) and Younis (Retired)

Heard Sprucey is back and we could see Milan Susak the former Brisbane Roar defender back the club, was a junior back in the 90s IIRC, other than that all quiet.
Alongside Kadric & Lo a young fella named Leon Faria also earnt himself a first grade contract so thats good to see.

Are Dubocanin & Bradasevic staying at Rockdale ?

Elsid Barkoshir offered himself to the club, another junior lol

He was actually very close to signing with Blacktown City, but big Sam stepped in and opted for us.

Dont think Davor ever coach him.

Just got an email from my club.. as of 2018, the age groups are changing to first grade, 21's and 19's in the senior leagues and 17's, 16's, 15's, 14's and 13's in the youth leagues. The clubs also complained about the Player Points System because it is a breach of the trade practise act but Football NSW knocked it back for now.

They've come back once Rudan has left. Coincidence?

No new signings or any potential ones that I have heard of. I have a feeling we wont be going for any big names due to the new clubhouse being built over the next season or two.

On the road side from the scoreboard all the way upto corner (stadium side) and up until the gate near the canteen, it will house new office area, gym, bar, function room and kitchen.

Everyone okay with the way promotion/relegation happens in this league? I think from a club point of view it works but from a fans point of view, not so much as despite what the senior team is doing it might end up coming down to the 20's or 18's.

In saying that though, the youth teams bloody helped us stay up this year! haha

It's a tough one. I like the idea of promotion and relegation based on the first team BUT I have found in my time coaching for a past few years that clubs neglect their other senior/youth teams if they have nothing to play for. Having this set up means the most organised (best run) clubs are the ones that go up and the worst organised are the ones that go down.

E.g. Up from NPL 3 to 2 - Hakoah (2014), Northbridge (2015) and Hills (2016). Down from NPL 2 to 3 - Fraser Park (2016), Sydney Uni (2015) and Hills (2014). That's just between NPL 2 and 3. We've seen the same trends between NPL 1 and 2 and NPL 3 and State League.

You make a good point Footballluv, having the combined points system works well imo as you say its making sure not just the 1st squad gets the focus but the other 2 grades.
A overall club effort.
This force's clubs to work harder with their 18's 20's and developing future 1st players.

Yer you were very lucky Northbridge.
Be interesting to watch how the Brumbies handle it up there and how Fraser re group being relegated.

Fraser are spending a fortunate. Apparently $70,000 on the 3 coaches and plenty of money for the first grade squad. I think they'll neglect the 20's and 18's to some degree and miss out on promotion. We've got the Portuguese Cup early next year so it will be interesting to see how good they are. I went to their first trial and they way it was organised was very poor.

haha $70k eh, I know your portugese but does it surprise you the lack of organisation ? lol......
I'm not at all, I'm around it to a degree, go to the Madeira Club over the years and have inlaws involved especially one who has put in some good hard earned.
Fraser is a mess from long ago, having gone to the club now and then for some 23yrs nothing much has changed, that piece of land should be a show case with club facilities and ground by now.
One of our last years U16's has gone to Fraser 18's for this season...I'll be keeping closer tabs on them and look forward seeing my son verse them.

I'm not surprised at all. Seems to be a Portuguese thing. They are in the best location and have fantastic potential in terms of facilities so once they sort their crap out, they could be in NPL 1 challenging the big boys. A few Dully boys have gone over as well to their 18's.

That so re dully lads, pack of hot heads last season tbh. 1 or 2 not bad ball players but lost the plot the 2 times I watched.
