North shore mariners just signed former under 14's coach at fc Porto, under 17's coach at sporting Lisbon and under 19's coach at club de braga for north shores under 16 boys team.
Some solid experience at portugals best clubs.

Maybe they can hire someone from Portugal to come up with a better name. 

They could call the team whatever they want and I wouldn't care as long as the mariners keep helping the club the way they are. Money and pathways are attractive.

First game back for Ben Spruce and picked up a horrific injury, looks like a broken leg from all reports.

Just seen on Facebook SU58 playing a friendly with Shanghai Shenua aswell as a week long training camp in Shanghai.

Awesome news. Good to see NPLs growing their clubs and connections without the FFA or A-League.

Our club has been invited by shanghai shenhua for a friendly game on the 31st. Our squad will be their for a week at their training facility.

Great to see asian clubs approaching NPL clubs, hopefully this can become an annual thing for SU58.

MASO CUP on this weekend. Games Friday night and Sunday at the Ilinden Sports Centre. good chance to see some of our new faces in action including Covic, Figon, Gaitatzis, Sorge and Grozdanovski who will all be playing. Feel free to come on down.

Heard we were meant to sign Pavicevic but his agents the Trifiro bros told us wont happen because  he will sign overseas so we committed to bringing some Pommy from the lower English tiers. His agents came back recently asking if we still have any available spots and answer was obvious, so kid signed for Olympic.

Portuguese Cup on all day on Saturday and Sunday at Fraser Park. Kemblawarra/Dapto Fury, Brisbane Athletic, Dulwich Hill and Fraser Park are the teams competing. It will be first grade teams and a mixture of under 18's/20's in the 20's comp. 

I saw Spruce a couple of days ago, looks like his season is done. He's had a some odd injuries over the years, poor guy.

Game against Shanghai is on tonight at 10.45.

Noticed the Cros signed Riley Woodcock, Syd FC offered him to us aswell but coudnt sign cause no pts.

Yep, played last night against Tevez and co. LB was probably our weakest position after our Jap LB retired at the end of the year. Hopefully he can have a similar impact to Tratt who was fantastic for us. 

3-0 loss to Shanghai with Martins scoring a double and Tevez putting one away from distance. Not a bad result against a side containing the highest paid player on the planet 

Football NSW failing again with no stream lol

The friendly was played behind closed doors. As Shanghai was using this as prep for Brisbane they did not want the game to be shown anywhere

I'm usually the last to defend FNSW... but even if it wasn't played behind closed doors surely it's a bit much to expect them to fly a crew over to Shanghai to stream the match? lol

2-1 win v Wollongong last night, lights went out midway through the second half lol

Lost to Melbourne Knights 3-1 in our annual Friendship Cup match. The Knights are finalising their preparations for the season so were well ahead of us physically. From the sounds of it we started off ok but tired quickly and they ran over the top of us. 

Blacktown City next Sunday.

Last night in oppressive heat at Seymour Shaw - Sutho 2 - Rockdale 2. Sutho lead twice with Rockdale equalising both times. Fairly even match and promising considering out for Rockdale were Urosevski, Alameddine, McClenahan, Sorge, Petrillo and Hesketh. The boys from our 20s that stepped up certainly didn't look out of place. Sutho were, i imagine, pretty close to full strength, albeit, lots of chopping and changing for both teams. Figon looks impressive.

Payne off to India for a couple of months. He'll be a huge loss for the early part of the season. Not sure when exactly he'll be back but my understanding is that it's for around 10 games. 

Hopefully Vranic can step up and fill the void

Hopefully its only something similar to as what Mirjan Pavlovic did when he was with us. Cause Payne is a massive loss, he scored 20+ last season.
