this kind of talk has been happening for years and years now.

Yeh I'm not expecting a B League any time soon. Talk is cheap from those in charge.

Much needed 1-0 win away to Manly for us on Friday night, very lucky to get away with 3 points however about time we had a bit of luck come our way, takes us off the bottom of the table and bounce back after a heavy loss to Rockdale the week before. Hopefully the result is something we can build on as we play Marconi away midweek in the cup before a tough home game on Saturday to Olympic.

yer you guys needed that and against a form club the last weeks.
Long way to go, a string of 2wins on the trot can lift you/any club up the ladder quick.
Close either end of the ladder.

PL2 Spirit on top, just.
PL3 Rydlamere looking strong on top.
PL4 Fraser where they belong.

Npl 2 and 3 very close too, hard to pick who will get promoted at the end of the season, also with academies fielding different squads depending on first team schedule it makes it difficult to predict which team will be playing each week.

Sutho, good start but not finish.
Now who would have picked BC being at top by this stage, Marconi dumbfounds me.
Maybe last weeks fracas had effected Rockdale.
Impressed APIA clawing their way back up.
We were watching on NPLtv SU Manly. Manly on the slide and SU went into overdrive great result.
After a good start tot he season SFC struggling, good result for the Wolves.

Great Result for us after a slight dip in form. 4 clean sheets in a row now.
Peter Tsekenis next to be sacked IMO

We did play well, I think 120 minutes mid week against Marconi got us in the end, we also don’t have the depth to have subs coming on and making an impact whereas Olympic brought on Fabio Ferreira and Parkhouse. Disappointing to not come away with at least a point but on the balance of the game Olympic probably deserved the win.

Marconi are shocking for the team they have on Paper, like 19-SU-58 said Tskenis would be under a lot of pressure.

The white division has too many games to be completed to decide their top 6.
Essentially, the first 11 rounds of NPL Youth was a play off system to sww which clubs had the strongest academys using the championship model. The championship points table was based on the results of all u14, u15, u16 and u18 club teams

Look at the Football NSW website and select NPL Youth.
Expect an announcement midweek as to the next 11 matches and finals series for all NPL youth divisions.
The same approach is being used for NPL2 youth

With all 11 games in blue and white groups, the boys youth NPL1 and NPL2 should be as below. This is based on the restructure announced by Football NSW with performances of u14, u15, u16 and u18 teams from each club counting toward championship points. It looks as though if there was to 2 teams on on the same points, overall goal difference would have been used.

The top 6 clubs from each of the  two groups form the NPL1 Youth division with the bottom 6 teams forming the NPL2 Youth division. (The same thing is happening with the current NPL2 where they will be split into NPL3 Youth and NPL4)

NPL1 Youth
Apia-Leichhardt
Blacktown City
CC Mariners
Manly United
Marconi
Mt Druitt
Northern Tigers
Sutherland
Sydney FC
Sydney Olympic
WS Wanderers
Wollongong

NPL2 Youth
Blacktown Spartans
Bonnyrigg WE
Hakoah
Hills United
Mounties
NWS Spirit
Northbridge
Rockdale
St George City
St George FC
SD Raiders
Sydney United

NPL3 youth
Prospect United
Parramatta FC
Bankstown United FC
Dulwich Hill
Central Coast United
Fraser Park
Newcastle Jets
South Coast Flame
Rydalmere Lions
Nepean FC
Dunbar Rovers
Bankstown City FC

NPL4 Youth

cheers Brenton re the NPL updates on the page and Paul01, good to see.

I went to watch Northern Tigers vs APIA FFACup last night.
Not sure at all IF many start up players were in APIA but sure did spot ol Parisi at 10.
NT have been a pretty mobile/fit PL2 club over the years I've watched, mostly pecking at the top 4.
APIA as we know is struggling this season and they sure were on the back foot most of the 90mins. Parisi was being left behind as he normally is, if the ball isn't at his feet he's no other use.
A deserved pen around the 60min mark had NT 1up till near FT But quite a dubious pen was awarded to APIA giving them relief and forcing it into extra time !
Thats all I needed hanging back in this cold !!
Very very lucky to get away with the win, NT deserved it more but thats football.
Not a bad crowd by the local support, say about 200.
Will be looking out for the draw.

Update on Boys Youth League.
Arnold has got his way and there will be 3 tiers of 16 next season (as announced by Football NSW on their competition page). Same structure as Men's NPL.
Important to note that there is no link between Mens NPL level and Youth NPL level

Don't think so.
Due to Arnold
4 or 5 u23s allowed in A-League NPL squads from next season.

I can't recall if there will be an allowance for 4 or 5u23s in u20 match day squads.

Anyone go to that Festival of Football thing on the weekend at Lambert Park. Had a fantastic day of watching football & catching up with old football friends.

Looked good, great idea from APIA, hopefully encourages a few people back to games for the rest of the season.

Academy sides are doing quite well as it is, hopefully adding 4-5 under 23’s doesn’t see the academy sides all at the top of the NPL1 ladder.

He probably meant to youth teams because talking that way about the seniors teams is clearly off.

In the U14 to u18s based on Championship
NPL Youth 1.1 (top division)
1st WS Wanderers
6th CC Mariners
8th Sydney FC

NPL Youth 1.2 (2nd tier)
11th Northbridge (Macarthur Bullsh1tters)

NPL Youth 2.1 (3rd tier)
1st Newcastle Jets

And to emphasise, Macarthur Bullsh1tters bought out Northbridge to get an NPL1 team un case they made Asian Champions League. And their academy teams are shite.
