yer the varying results are good to see.
Surprised on SU's result but as mentioned if your not on the day you cop it.
Good win for Sutho much needed.
Even though just 5 games who would have picked Wolves on 1 win only to date.
APIA, OMG.

2 losses this week,

APIA 1-0 over us, a pretty poor match from both sides with few chances, we were very one dimensional and APIA dealt with our attacks quite easily, McStay again our stand out player who covered massive amounts of ground the whole game.

Blacktown 2-0, a much better performance from us against a strong Blacktown side, especially after losing a man after roughly 35 mins. Unlucky from Simonovski to get sent after his first start of the season, unfortunately going into a challenge with elbows raised is risky and he got sent even if there wasn’t any malice in it. 5 points after 6 games isn’t ideal and with a couple of injuries/suspensions now as well as FFA cup starting soon our depth or lack of will require some young players/fringe player to step up. Interesting couple of weeks for us, a win this weekend against Sydney FC is vital if we have any chance to keep up in the hunt for a top 5 spot.

Marconi 2-2 Wollongong: Marconi dropping a 2 goal lead continues there mixed run of form, 2 very unpredictable sides this year so seems a fair result.

Manly 2-0 Sydney Fc: Manly the dark horses have found themselves top of the ladder on goal difference, another win for them.
Mt Druitt 2-1 Olympic: Mount Druitt seen a different side at home then away, looks like Poppendetta will be hard to come away from with anything.

Rockdale 2-0 APIA, expected result with Rockdale bouncing back after last week.
United 1-5 Northbridge: Watched this one yesterday and a real game of 2 half’s, everything going right for Northbridge in the first half and playing some really good football, United had no answer with it 5-0 at half time, second half United were playing more of their style of game and controlled however Northbridges defence was solid and held out United efforts to get back into the game. Northbridge proving me and a lot of others that they aren’t there to make up numbers, some handy little players who will be pushing for A-League spots over the next couple of years I think.

yer - we were watching on npltv SU's game, couldn't believe it but kudos to them.
Manly have flipped compared to the last season and 2.
Wolves ? whats happened, haven't improved or the rest have caught up.

I think losing Littler and  Knight in defence has made them unstable at the back and with Thomas James out they have lost their main goal scorer. Surely they will come good as the season goes on.

shambolic, an utter disgrace of a performance.

Question; how many of these A-league players can drop down and play for there reserve side in the NPL?

Didn’t realise they dropped that many down as I’m not familiar with their A-League squad, should be in line with how many first graders can drop to 20’s which is 3 I thought.

Is there an age limit of players for A-League squads too? I remember hearing a-league academies wanted it at 23.

You can drop 4 overage players from first grade to U20's. I think the A-league squads have to be U21 apart from 4 players.

Is it true the reason there is no relegation is because there will be 4 clubs being promoted from NPL 2 to have 16 clubs in NPL 1 next season?

I wasnt at the game, but from what i heard, Tomelic Broke his arm in the 88th min, a bit of commotion between the players, as Mt.Druitt thought we were time wasting, things escalated onto both benches. handbags stuff.

Easily our worst game, our defence was opened up easily and rockdale controlled the whole game comfortably. Not sure if it was us that made you look good but Rockdale is definitely strong all over the park. Manly on Friday night won’t be much easier.

us getting the early goal helped cause otherwise that wall of 6 at the back would of been harder to break down. our forwards had fun.
that said, we should of pumped manly and they jagged a draw. they run and they keep their shape.
anyway, was glad to get the win over ND.
