looks like football NSW will be going for a restructure next season.
i know it might of been posted before, but does anyone have an indication of the new format? I've read that they have CCF's blessing to take the NPL2 license from them and compete in there, as per SFC and WSW. So it'll be 14 teams in NPL2, 12 in NPL, usual promo/rel for next season. Considering SFC and WSW have just about picked their entire squads and coaching staff for next season, and those squads are made up of the best NPL1 youth, CCM is going to struggle to keep up, even though they finished a very close 2nd in the Club Championship this season. do you have a list of the youth players for both WSW and SYD fc? Also in regards to youth league, they have already started poaching players from ours and inviting them......... In a way if they dont go they will be blacklisted of some sort in the future. Going to be very intersting in 2016, especially with Stanton in charge at Sydney FC and no stranger to the competition blacklisted how? isn't that like blackmail? FFA  its better they stay with our clubs, at least you are playing far better competition week in week out. Edited by 19-su-58: 25/8/2015 11:38:41 AM We know that, but in all honesty, how many talented kids that aren't of a particular ethnicity are going to pick our clubs over SFC or WSW when they come knocking...

It'd be the individual clubs to blame if anything. Judging from how the past 3 or so years of Jerks Youth being in Newy NPL, the kids would get far better compensation staying with existing NPL clubs. Something that shouldn't be the defining factor, but a lot of the time is.

I know a few kids from APIA and Sutherland have joined SFC and the WSW. I think the idea is to have them all playing an age up.

They are looking for the best talent. At the end of the day, it's better for Australian football if the kids are given a better environment to work in. At the end of the day, the players needed to come from somewhere. I don't think it will happen again. In the second season, everyone will just move up and the under 13's will have to trial. i know it might of been posted before, but does anyone have an indication of the new format? Will the 3 clubs be playing NPL next season or do they start in the lower tier first and earn their way up like Adelaide United, Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City NPL teams have had to.

From what I've heard from junior players in the WSW and SFC squads, they'll be playing up an age group in NPL 2. Next season, NSW will have NPL 1, 2 and 3 and then State League.

They're turning MSL1 into NPL3 next season: Quote: It is decided that the following changes be implemented with respect to Seniors Competitions (1st, U20s and U18s) for the 2016 season: • NPL1 remains with 12 clubs • NPL2 will be expanded from 12 clubs to 14 clubs to accommodate 2 new HAL Club Academies (namely Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers) • It is expected a senior NPL environment will be conducted on the Central Coast to be determined between Central Coast Football and Central Coast Mariners • HAL Academies/Clubs are to be bound by exactly the same rules and regulations as are enforced on FNSW NPL clubs • The current State League 1 competition will become NPL3 with a 12 team competition. • U16 age group will be become part of Youth, not Seniors, competitions • There will be no change to the current principle of “one up/one down” promotion and relegation between each tier of senior competitions each year based solely on Seniors Club Championship playing results • State League Two will be re-named “State League” and an Under 18’s age group will be introduced to this competition to be consistent across all senior competitions in NPL 1, NPL 2 and NPL 3. This will be a 12 team competition.
There are no other changes be made to the structure of the Seniors NPL1, NPL2, NPL3 or State League competitions.

I think that's a good move! So SL2 will essentially become State League 1? Are there any plans to add more divisions later in the future? I know Victoria has several divisions below NSW.

Most of our 20's unfortunately won't be around next season due to this which is a shame as it's usually where we get most of our decent players.

One hell of a collapse by Blacktown. Up 2-0 after 63 mins and manage to concede 2 goals in a minute or two to make it 2-2.

What a fucking win, going from 2-0 down to win 4-2. In all honesty I am am by no means an optimist but I called it that we would come back whilst we were down at 2-0. Monster performance by everybody.
Only negative is that we will be missing Aaron Peterson due to suspension. Just like in 2013 we were missing Nikola Zonjic but will be a massive task no doubt.
