yer, losing Powell was a big one, was scoring very well. Regardless good to see APIA back up for a change with purpose. MACEDONIA, I suppose a lot of euros are here instead of back home, you'll be right, .62 to A$1 good exchange to shore up a semi decent o lm pic squad

Fro APIA's facebook page: Quote:Dear Supporters, Members and Sponsors As you are obviously aware, the Club was eliminated from the NSW Final Series in the NPL Men's 1 First Grade Competition, yesterday. As President, I am fully aware, that the disappointing culmination to the Season has obviously disappointed many, many supporters, especially looking forward to a Grand Final appearance this coming Sunday at Leichhardt Oval. It was not meant to be. But, the Club has had a number of destabilising factors to our squad during the business end of the Season, and with player movement to the A-League in Blake Powell to Wellington Phoenix, and Marc Warren to Perth Glory. Recently David D’Apuzzo has been trialling with Western Sydney Wanderers. Only last week, we lost our main custodian in 2015, in Ryan Norval, with a broken hand suffered in training, and the Club had only 24 hours to find a replacement keeper, in the up and coming, Tonu Liiband, not to mention that we have been without the services of some of our top 11 players, in Brett Studman, Adam Griffiths, Corey Bizco and Brad Bartels. All Clubs, in all Leagues, go through difficult times for one reason or another, and I am certainly not offering any excuses. But no other Club in Australia, at the State League level, has had 3 players involved in the A-League, in the one Season. This reflects the Club’s profile as a breeding ground, and as a feeder club for the A-League. We have now added another portal to our history, not only has our Club produced the most Socceroos and National Team Captains than any other football club in Australia, but today, after 10 years since the inception of the A-League, we have now had more Youth and A-League Players signed from our Club, than any other club in Australia. In 2015, the Club has had a massive growth in registration numbers in our Junior Club, being the Leichhardt Tigers Junior Soccer Club. Our gate, canteen and bar takings have increased well and truly from past seasons. Our sponsorship level has increased, the Club’s income has increased and the Club’s debt level, has slightly decreased. We now have a world class facility, which we are all proud of, with a state of the art Video Screen and Scoreboard, a mere few weeks away, from being installed. The Club is less than one month away from installing protective on-field netting, to operate our 365 Soccer Sixes, with a record 209 entries making it the second biggest 6 a side competition and complex, from the 48 centres around NSW controlled by Football NSW. We have a solid Administration, with functional administration offices. As well, for the first time in the Club’s history, our Women and Girls Reserve Grade, have qualified for the first time in the Club’s history for a final. This Section of the Club is on target, with the current positive establishment and infrastructure, that will see this section gain promotion at the end of the 2016 Season. Also, we had the priviledge of a Matilda Player, Servet Uzunlar, playing for the Club at the tail end of this Season. The Club also had an outstanding Youth Boys team in the Under 15s, the team proudly finished first in their competition, and will be playing in the Grand Final at Lambert Park this coming Saturday. For a record 15th consecutive year, our club will be representing Oceania in the World Class Club Tournament, the Coppa Carnevale Viareggio Cup, played in Tuscany, Italy, annually. And, finally, the Club has embraced social media as of January this year with 2,250 likes, and on target for 5,000 by the end of March 2016. The Club has finalised the bulk of its playing squad for 2016 and has retained the majority of this year’s playing group, that has excelled in 2015, being the top scoring Club with 46 goals in the NPL 1 Men’s Competition in 2015. We anticipate a further two players, from our 2016 squad also being signed by an A-League Club. And finally, the Club, in the off season will finalise a state of the art grassed warm up area with 6 car parking spots on the Railway end of the ground, and the off season will be consumed with the Club’s obsession to go forward with a 3000 seated cantilevered Grandstand, on the Marion Street side of the grandstand, as well as a Caretaker’s residence and Gymnasium. The Club is stable, strong and moving forward and, yes, like any sporting club or organisation have a number of niggling issues to sort out, but, overall, positioned with the right foundations, to be a power house now and well into the future, in the NSW Premer League. Interesting. From reading this and posts below this, can see why APIA were disappointed in not making the grand final.

Choi is good but will be taking up a visa spot as far as I know. Antelmi has recently just come back from Europe so yeah, I think you're right. Wouldn't be surprised if someone like CCM picked him up.

Choi is great for npl imo not good enough for hal, he's great on the run, gets muscled off the ball quite easily for me. Got great vision, moves well but against a fast robust backline opponent he's got troubles. Antelmi could last, be inetresting to see how he would handle the difference in pace and more organized defense. Beautiful day for a NPL GF at Leichardt today. Surface even without rain for a while always presents its slippery times grandstand side. Minor Prem Blacktown vsing Bonnyrigg - reverse from last season. Blacktown just couldn't get going - Bonny were much better but wanted it more. Younis as always dangerous. Bonnys mids were quicker having much space at times. Choi had a great chance or 2 1st half just tried to do too much lost possession. Younis spot kick just outside the box went in like a bullet right hand side. 1nil at HT from memory. 2nil after the break it was over but Blacktown kept trying but couldn't get that last pass through the defense. Was always going to be a Bonny win.

Thoughts with Danny Choi who is still recovering in hospital after a tackle left him not knowing where he was or how he got there. Didn't rate a free kick or for the referee to call for immediate help. He was just left sprawled on the far side of the field for the physio to take the long way around to find out what was wrong. Now doubtful to take any part in the NPL finals.
