Definetly be good news for the Socceroos especially when the crucial qualifiers are coming! Moore over North anyday due to his experience.

Moore is ageing, we need North for the WC, although i think it would be great to have them playing alongside each other.

Why is Spira undoubted? I know he is good at this stage, but hes barely played for us, why does he deserve the spot so easily?

He was decent without being impressive in his last game against Qatar. He isn't any worse than the other contenders for the defender positions like Beauchamep and North but as Nico stated above, he is too old to be a serious prospect for 2010. Unfortunately, the sad state of Socceroos affairs (in terms of defenders) means that if he were available for international selection, his spot in the starting XI against the other contenders would be overly surprising.

I had a feeling this could be on the cards. We could certainly use him. We're far more solid with him at the back than we are without him. He's better than anyone else we've got at the moment even at 32.

Perhaps Moorey could be used as a mentor for the Roos that are used in the Asian cup qualifiers. It would be great with someone of his experience helping them out with perhaps someone like Aloisi.

i think north is better at right back than in the middle . 32 is not too old for international football and besides you would pick experience over youth for these more important games. he is a born leader on the field and to see him guiding the young guys at the back would be great.

Moore's experience would be a god send in the big matches ahead. Without our big name players we look very brittle at the back sometimes. Moore would give us some starch......

The Socceroos don’t need Moore from a skills or talent perspective, but they will benefit enormously from his unquestionably large amount of experience, and there is a certain amount of class that comes with that! The roar went from having an average defence to the best defence in the competition last year and Craig was the only difference in the roar’s backline from 06-07 to 07-08 so the facts really do speak for themselves. His positioning and his ability to snuff out plays before they begin are things you often don’t pickup on tv, but watching live at Suncorp you could see Craig doing this time and time again for the Roar last year. Again, it’s all down to experience and class.

Moore's experience and familiarity with the position, coupled with his inherent leadership qualities, mean we have a player who can organise the players around him. Beauchamp, North, Spiranovic, etcetera are not familiar enough with their own roles to be thinking about what players need to do around them.
Another advantage is Moore playing as a centre back, frees up Neill to play at right or left back, particularly the latter which is our problem defensive position.

Personally, i beleive moore is one of our best ever defenders, certainly the best i have seen, what he could bring to guys like spiranovic is priceless, for me, he was one of the best in Germany, and rerely ever has a bad game, if he makes himself available, there is no question he should be there to help us through to 2010!

This would be fantastic. Moore and Neill combination is a proven winner. The question of him being to old is garbage, however we do need to get the back four right for the WC. Moore needs to commit to the campaign if he wants back in, why would Pim choose him otherwise when the back four are still a question mark?
The back four need play time if Moore is not in that is seen by all. I would love Moore back as he is one of our best and most experienced defenders but we need know he is their to at least after 2010.
Comeon Craig..put your hand up all the way not just to the elbow.
