He was going to sign with Adelaide but talks broke down. He's also been linked to FC Seoul. He's a quality player, technically very good and a proven goalscorer.

That would be a good signing, and wouldn't take much salary cap seeing as hes coming from Vietnam. Adelaide didn't sign him coz they signed Cristiano instead.

That SMH article also had them linked with another Italian striker and are in the middle of "making a bold late attempt to sign a non-Australian marquee player for this season". Whatever that means...

They're about to sign the Danish striker but apparently Philani is still very much in the mix
