When Santa arrives I think he should dress appropriately and not like that dumb fuck on TV. Edited by leftrightout: 24/12/2012 09:50:39 AM

Quote:Does anyone have any cool Christmas traditions that their families do every year? Normally my cousins arrive at around 11ish, and then my younger cousin will have lunch, get his presents and then bolt for the door to get drunk with his deadbeat mates around 2ish. Going out to lunch tomorrow in Fremantle. Not much planned apart from that. Christmas has really lost it's luster. I'm still excited to get presents and whatnot, but most of my presents are pretty predictable and all I tend to do is end up playing FIFA or Madden with my brother for most of the day.

Found this on reddit:
"I'm so fucking angry right now. I've been telling my parents since the beginning of the year, all I want for Christmas is the Wii U. I don't want a stupid comic book or action figure, those are all outdated, meaningless toys. I go to check under the tree to see if there's any large package for me. Nope, nothing. I thought, "hey, they probably hid it in the closet!" Checked there, nothing. Today, enough was enough. I flat out asked them, "Mom. Dad. Did you get a Wii U for me for christmas? Because I don't see it and I don't want to get up on Christmas morning, pretended to be excited for Santa to bring me a gift and have my dreams crushed, only for two cunts to tell me that Santa is too busy giving toys to needy fuckers in Iraq." Its fucking crap, you know. My room is spotless, I clean it every weekend and pick up all the toys when I'm done playing. My grades are perfect. All I ask for in return to my hardships is one stinkin' gift and instead, I get end up getting hurt and crying. The same thing happened last year. I wanted a 3DS and instead they told me "son, you're 35 years old. Please, get a job." Man, parents."

See, this is why we need more kids around here, cause they'd actually be excited for Christmas.

Massive family gathering for me. My Nan, Aunt and two of my cousins flew over from Blackpool, and brother's back from Japan with his girlfriend, and my girlfriends brother and his wife flew over from Australia (we're having a huge dinner with Hannah's family).
Some kids (girlfriend's cousins kids) but otherwise mostly an adult drink up. I'll be working the barby with my girlfriend's brother, so God help us all.

I'll be starting the day cooking the family breakfast at my place, then spending the day at a family friends with my immediate family and a few of the friends. Will no doubt be bored by 2pm..

this is my first Xmas being married & owning a house so it's pretty exciting for the mrs & I.
but after opening presents, we usually just spend the day driving back & forth between family locations whilst the whole time I'm thinking of how much I'm looking forward to playing the new version of FIFA I buy myself for Xmas each year.
my niece & nephew are getting kayaks tomorrow, which I'm sure after half an hour they'll never use again. super keen to have a spin on them - but this rain that just hit tells me it may not be the sunniest day tomorrow

Christmas is less exciting when you have a job and can buy whatever you want but catching up with family is always good

I love the whole atmosphere of christmas. The snowy persona and idea of gifts, family time and everything just been put aside for one day of relaxation with the family and joy. Have many happy memories from a kid of christmas so i am very fond of it.

I'm less excited, especially since one of my family members ruined the surprises by telling me what I was getting :( But I like Chirstmas, especially when I have all of my relos over from Australia (that's one person). I'm looking forward to opening stuff, and I guess the lunch, which is turkey :d
