Shane Lowry to move to Southampton for £1.5m according to my Millwall supporting son-in-law

not such a risk, worst case scenario he gets 6 months in EPL then they go down. Millwall are struggling and are out of the play off zone so i doubt they'll get promoted..

I'd be interested to see if they are considering him for LB or CB or just as a squad player, 1.5mil seems a lot to spend on a squad player though..

Nah TBH i was only looking at the Champ table and they are 4 points below 6th place. so even with a good run like you outlined they aren't getting the three points often enough to be convincing (purely on the numbers). and even if they make the playoffs there is only 1 spot between 4 teams..

Southampton are one win away from leap frogging Villa & Wigan up to 15th/16th so I'm not sure they'll be relegated, I think Reading, QPR and Wigan will go down this season.

If Southampton need a CB, Lowry has gathered sufficient experience to be at least a good squaddie in the EPL.
