I've been told by my own source (I can't say who, but let's just say take my word for it that he's well in the loop - not helpful to you guys I know)

plus I've heard it from a guy who called bernardo ribeiro was signing for the jerks about 2 weeks before anything has remotely surfaced, so he's in a similar loop to me.

Actually, where is he now and where has he been since he left? Last I heard, a couple seasons ago around when he left with his typical controversy, he was moving to Hadjuk Split. I haven't checked the 'Aussies Abroads' updates much, but is he still featuring there? I wonder how his stint went and how long he sustained regular football.

It seemed a, overall, rather successful comeback, so let's hope that good news story continued, despite his infamous moment of weakness on TWG.

For me, his story is sort of inspiring, showing all of us we can still come back, make it, it's never too late, despite falling far from the trajectory of a 'professional footballer's life' for quite a while, from the earlier career heights of European and CL football and near Socceroo. He still came back, got back into the game, and progressed almost as far as what he was before he left it.

A good ole 'late bloomer' in a way too, not unlike 'The Og' and some others and you can't help but like those guys.

He spent like one season at split and then got let go I think.

he went to split, got europa league football, played regularly at cb. then got injured and it all kind of fizzled out, and they mutually terminated his contract.

from there, no one is too sure. i've had confirmation that he was signed up at red star belgrade at some stage, but can't find anywhere saying if he played or not. his wiki says he was trialling in iran at one stage, but i also recall seeing marco rojas's page referencing rojas as a judas dog so i don't take too much seriously from there.

Ljubo will make his much anticipated return to the a league and show you haters out there that he is one of the best defenders in the league.Quite a few clubs are interested.

can't wait. my favourite jets player of all time, followed closely by griff, zads & musialik.

Also, he has dealt with depression over the years and it is a credit to him that he keeps on going, even when he spirals out of control!

Though not up with the Zad love or the Disco Stu but Ljubo and Griff!

While the man copped some hate (more due to the comments he made when leaving the Jets), I don't think many deny that he was one of the best defenders when he was here.

False from as close as a source as you can possibly get.
Would have loved for it to be true though.
