Nobody seems to eat in lectures actually, it's strange. I'm just too lazy to prepare food/too poor to buy lunch.

I was more just hating this thread because while I'm at uni I'm basically eating only one meal a day, so any mention of food sucks.

I've been off most of the 'unhealthy' crap lately (eating proper food, no drugs, no caffeine, cut back on drinking) and all it's done is make me think about food constantly :(

Rule 1 of going to a kebab stand late at night: don't order the chicken.

+ 1. Stalactites has made me sick on more than one occasion. But i'll still go there if drunk enough in the city.

Marrickville/Victoria Yeeros. Ah of course. I was there 2 weeks ago and forgot to list it :lol: Still great. VERY popular these days, but still a great joint. They've bought out the shop next door and extended their premises. They've got a bar and more seating + redid the signage out the front.

Fergburger - Queenstown. Cant remember the exact name of the burger but the Fergburger with blue cheese is late night cuisine at its finest.

I forgot the place that's probably my favourite, Wonderbao in the city is awesome. Super tasty steamed buns for $2, so damn good. Also, the Lemon Donuts from Movida Bakery (South Yarra) are tops & the sausages from Snag Stand (Melb Central) and Phat Brats (Brunswick St) are pretty great too.

Pies can actually be traced back to Eastern Mediterranean origins, specifically Ancient Egypt :lol:

Haven't had cravings for a kebab in about a year. Hmm.

Speaking of Kebabs, went to Glenelg in Adelaide in Round 2, some place near the water there, absolutely shit-house kebab (or yiros as they called it). Bread was crap, sauce was crap.

Melbourne on the other hand, had Stalactites (Spelling?). Very very good. Probably one of the best I've ever had. Souvlaki they called it.

I don't know about the other side of Sydney Rd. But the one at the BP across from Sussex st is tops.

Is Marrickville Yeeros still around? Used to be quality, haven't been there in yonks.
