it's not difficult to get ips on forums like this that is pretty seemingly unprotected - anyone can post an image or link on here that is a redirected ip logger if they knew how. i could do it right now, make a thread about something random and no one would even realize.

the internet is a pretty vile place especially if someone has access to your ip leaving you open to ddos attacks especially if your static as anyone can get a booter these days. if i remember correctly, wasn't FFT taken down by a ddos attack not so long ago. Any 13 year old kid with nothing better to do can get their hands on something that can hit with 20gps which can take down websites with ease, nevermind home connections

It sounds more like he's describing how 442 ban people rather then saying "hey I know your IP"

No it's not ](*,) The only IP you can get off this site is...well the IP of this site.

Only the site Admin can see some form of IP Address. And as Afro said, I'm not sure if its your individual one. Someone like TWG will have to clarify

The only people who can see users' IP addresses are the guys from the FFT team. And even then it will only reveal the node, rather than your physical address. Decentric is bluffing.

Does this guy even have access to our IP's? I know he is just spinning a web, but should someone be able to make unsubstantiated claims like that.

I've already had to adopt a new nick because of one real-life stalker from this forum in the past and now had to reveal my background to expose this poster's claim as false.

It's a bit of a breach in privacy that such a post/claim could me made without censure from a moderator.
