A friend of mine who is really good mates with tommy's dad said if they lose bale to Real Madrid then they want to bring him in as a replacement. They are looking for a cheaper alternative after missing out on qualification for the champions league

Weeell, I really think that'd be a poor move at this stage. Tommy has been a good performer for a underrated team with essentially little pressure on them to really even push for European Football. Playing for Tottenham where pressure is on to claim a top 4 spot may not be the best environment for someone his age. Needs to make gradual steps imo. Move to PSV/Ajax after next season, then if he's still doing well, ship him off.

All it takes is for Spurs to express some interest, I know of an Aussie who was approached by Arsenal for a potential move if a position opened up for him at the club, but he knock them back due to being very happy where he was.

This kind of stuff happens all the time in professional football.
